Joe Montana Report Abuse
While a case could be made for him being higher on this list, it could also be made for him being lower. Montana won championships and set a couple records.

Brett Favre Report Abuse
If he had made it to the big one a time or two more he would deserve a higher place on this list. However in the top five on any list does not suck.

Peyton Manning Report Abuse
Sure his career is not over, but he already is getting close to several all time passing records. Also he (unlike Marino) actually has a ring to show for his efforts and that needs to be considered.

John Elway Report Abuse
I know that a lot of people will debate this choice, but the reason he shows up is because a quarterbacks job is to win the game. When he retired he held the record for most wins by a starting quarterback. Also given his record of most come from behind losses, he was a quarterback who always gave his team a chance.

Tom Brady Report Abuse
He may not have the stats of Peyton Manning, but he has shown an ability to win in the clutch games that matter. Yes his failure to complete an undefeated season may shadow him for a while, but Brady is to much of a competitor to stay under that shadow for too long.
