Most succesful NFL Franchises of the modern era

While their early history is actually quite lacking in either glory or performance, there is no doubt that over the course of time they have proven to be one of the best franchises in the NFL. They have more super bowl trophies than any other team (a total of 6) and this phenomenal feat was performed under three head coaches and many different teams.

Again we are looking at a phenomenal franchise. While they don't have as many super bowl wins as the Steelers they have more total appearnces (total of 8 appearances in all). What makes them even more remarkable is their consistency as play off contenders.

While they have recently lost some of their luster, the fins have generally been a contender for the super bowl. They also have the pride of being the only team with an undefeated season.

Again another team that at current is going through some growing pains. However, while they may not be the competitive beast they have been in ages past, they will regain their form again soon.

Despite moving all over the state of California a couple of times, Al Davis as managed to constantly find a way to pick the right people to get his team to the super bowl. While the Raiders have only won three super bowls and a total of five appearances, these appearances have occurred since Super bowl 2 into the turn of the millennium.
