One of the sickest animes ever made. It's a little old but still worth a watch. Plot - Initial D chronicles the story of 18-year old high school student Takumi Fujiwara, a fairly relaxed kid who never really enjoyed driving, especially when for years, he has to deliver tofu for his dad in the wee hours of the morning along the windy roads of Mount Akina in a Toyota Treuno AE86 (a Corolla equivalent also known as the Eight-Six or Hachi Roku). But then one morning, Takumi does his usual tofu run when he overtakes a Mazda RX-7 FD3S which is driven by Keisuke Takahashi: one of the hottest street racers in the prefecture. Takumi soon finds himself involved in the world of street racing as racers from all over come and challenge him both on Mt. Akina and other mountainous courses.

Really good anime.
Ryōta Sakamoto is an unemployed 22-year-old who lives with his mother. In the real world, there may be nothing really special about him, but online, he's one of the world's top players of the combat game called Btooom!. One day, he awakes in what appears to be a tropical island, though he has no memory of how or why he has come to be there. While wandering around, Ryōta sees someone and calls out for help. The stranger responds by throwing a bomb at him. Ryōta soon realizes both that his life is in danger and that he has somehow been trapped in a real-life version of his favorite game.
GREAT BATTLE SCENES

A must watch for every anime fan out there.
The anime just keeps you hooked to the end. And through every episode I just had to hold my breath because of all the emotions that were shown.
Truth to be told, I even cried.
Seven teenagers in 1955 have to learn to live together in the same hold in the reformatory of Shio. Confined in a hall where suffering and humiliation are daily, they are waiting for a ray of hope in a dark, incarcerating world. The story follows their life together and how they move on afterwards.
Comments:
The villians were literally that evil they made me shout at them, have been watching it from day one, the ending also makes you crying. Definitely an anime you have to watch. Too bad it's underrrated though

though not many seem to remember this groundbreaking series from the early 80s, it is a timeless classic and Rumiko Takahashi's first anime series; the chaos which ensues in every episode makes it the FUNNIEST anime that i have ever had the pleasure of watching.

It's the best anime out there you can watch. It truly rivals other amazing animes such as Cory in the House, King of the Hill, Lazy Town, The Nutshack and Shrek.

The book is fantastic and beautifully written, and if the series follow the movie - as they do - you've already guessed they're fantastic, too! ~~~~ The Dreamer .

Couldn't believe this wasn't on the list. Given it's a bit old, but still one of the best mixtures of drama, comedy, and the paranormal. Highly, highly recommend. Ah..Madoka.

If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.
Incredibly short, alas, with an aggravating amount of cliff hanger. Seems it just didn't get enough attention to keep going. Quick plot summary: dudes with swords kill demons, lots of gore.

Follows a boy growing up with his love for baseball. Main character is Goro Honda, this story follows him for the age of 6 till his current age at the end of season 5, 19yrs old. With 130 episodes and a new season starting April 3rd 2010, the is one of the longest running sports animes so far. Need to kill some time? Here's a decent anime for that.
Comments:
nope not longest running the longest running sports is prince of tennis which should be top 10 on list. if u like a cool main who puts u in aww as he pwns people this u will like. hes a tennis prodigy but noone knows and think hes just some kid but gets accepted at a school and beats all of the highschools top players . amazing not much story but really funny to

It's pretty good, but, seriously, the ending was just weird. It was a real let down after all the plot buildup. They'll have to release a second season just to explain the ending better.

An amazing sports anime about soccer with a saddening twist in it but none the less a classic. Plot - Toshihiko Tanaka is a boy who entered Kakegawa High School with his friends Kenji & Kazuhiro, in order to play soccer with Yoshiharu Kubo, a great soccer player whom they have idolized. While his other two friends were reluctant to play again, "Toshi" eventually convinces them to play for the team. The team soon find themselves in the midst of a quest to the All-Japan High School Championship, while overcoming obstacles along the way.
