Best Guitar Manufacturers

I've played a bit of everything. Martin acoustics are not overpriced. The quality in the craftsmanship and the tonal quality and playability make theese the best acoustics ever.

Great guitars. Not at all overpriced. If they were, they wouldn't be the #1 guitar maker in the world. Should be hogherbin the list.

Rumor has it, many have been partially manufactured overseas, quality has suffered while companies such as Taylor, Carvin, even Brian Moore make superior interments to Gibson. Can no longer trust them.

Over the past 20 years, just terribly inconsistent. Average quality, with a nice tone due to the short scale 24 ¾ neck. Look close at the neck, is it “real” rosewood?

Gibson custom is the best electric guitar made. I own a Gibson custom ace frehley budokan and play a Marshall jcm 800. You don't have to own the most expensive guitar but you do have to have something to play up to. Gibson has always been my gold standard.

I would like to see them come out with a new model.. Long over do.

I had a Gibson's one also, but then i brought a fender's one also too. Then i put my hand down my pants and smelled my fingers.

A brought a Fender guitar and i must say it is worth its price. I loved it. Besides i have a Gibson's one and both are great.

I own two Ibanez basses. They both have been with my on my musical journey playing everything from bluegrass to death metal. This brand is very high quality, well priced and versatile!

The Taylor brand produces excellent instruments; however, if you compare feature to feature with less expensive brands, I feel that they are priced in the Martin and Gibson range with out the additional features or resale.

This is one of America's Greatest Guitar Manufacturers..Sounds Great but is expensive but worth it for its quality.

epiphone gives great quality for a very low price, good for rock and stuff... I have a epiphone les paul special 2

A very good guitar but grossly over rated, and overpriced. They play very well, but the light weight body influences the tone, if the body was solid I think that would help PRS achieve that full and rich tone and possibly justify the $3000 sticker

Should be number one. Some can even surpass the quality and playability of Fender and Gibson. Carlos Santana.....

Indisputable quality, the real deal. A company that has struggled but still takes pride and manufactures a stellar product, opposed to the mass market guitars that appear too, and hit you with an unwarranted price tag.

(should be in top 3) The Best quality guitar overall & dollar for dollar – Carvin (DC 400) all hand made in the USA. A trophy guitar. You may need to change a pickup, but by far, the most under-rated guitar out there. Why because there made to order and not sold in box stores, there for not promoted or mass produced. Note: being there made to order it’s hard to sell them used as it’s difficult to put a price on them. (they still remain the diamond in the rough) There body is also solid, not channeled like PRS and/or Taylor.

Damn good and indestructable

I can' t understand why this guitar is not rated higher. Got an LGXT a couple months ago, mid 80's, and this guitar totally rocks. I will tour with this guitar in Spain, because I know I have a quality instrument, you know the feeling when you strap it on that its virtually indestructible, and make you feel like a better player.

What kind of combination is this. why not fender/esp since jackson is owned by fender. Or maybe fender/gibson. Why not, combination have same logic. Please don't be noob and separate this for god sake. Also I don't remember that Metallica ever play Jackson guitars. Any way this confused me. But yes, both are excellent lead guitars such many on this list.

My 5 string Warlock NT has been a great bass for about half a decade. Before I even play a note, the bass lets fans know that I mean business. It has a very rich bluesy tone and can be adjusted to growl like a good metal bass should. For originality in design and innovation, this brand should be higher up on the list.

I love my DF5. I have had it for a decade now. It's been with me to Iraq and back and I even performed with it on a music slot after Austin City Limits and on stage after the Charlie Daniels Band.

I must agree that this guitar company is one of the best kept secrets in the music industry. They make fine quality guitars that ' ll make you think more than twice about buying a Gibson. Mine was a Patriot Custom and boy did she sound sweet!!! I traded her, but if I ever come across another one, I'm gonna snatch her up right there.

i came accross michael kelly guitars two years ago and having bought and use a hex deluxe and vex deluxe giging in a 5 peice classic rock band they have proved to be the best guitars i've bought i,ve owned two gibson les paul deluxes two usa fender strats and as i repair and work with all types of guitars every day i would highly recomend these guitars and i forgot to mention i've just bought a new patriot premium.

I just don't see how you can get a better guitar for the $$$. These wonderful guitars are North American crafted and handmade in Canada. The pricing structure is inline with a vast number of guitars coming in from Asia. I purchased a Seagull Natural Elements Hearts of Cherry and solid spruce top, and couldn't be happier. These guitars are available at all major retailers. Just go in and play one of their very reasonably priced guitars and you'll truly love it!!!

Better than fender

I own three of these from the Leo Fender era. As a luthier by trade I can say with some authority, these are superior in every way to Fender.

As good or better than Seagull (same company)

I bought an Agile Intrepid Pro B stock a couple months ago. The craftsmanship is flawless and came set up well from the factory!

I own a setius gtm 6 transparent dirty red burst very quality guitars made in Poland with nothing but perfection in every way put into every detail and for nearly $3000 dollars it better be

A Les Paul is a guitar m odel, not a guitar manufacturing company. It is made by Gibson, which happens to be #1 on this list. It should not be on here.

What the hell? This list is..... well i was happy to see some correct spelling and complete sentences after scrolling down a bit. Lets just say that. Manufacturers? Les Paul? Flying V? What about Snickers? Or Wal Mart? You also forgot to mention Gucci and Louis Vuiton. So Yeah!
