In 65 years in service, this air company had only one accident with fatalities. This occurred in 1977, and was a pilot mistake. The plane was trying to land in heavy rain and after two unsuccessful attempts the captain decided to try another time. They touched down too late and overran the runway which, at the time, was only 1600 metres long. Now a days, most of the pilots are ex-Air Force officers, with over 20/25 years of experience.
