The Pyramids of Eygpt Report Abuse
It's amazing that these giant pyramids were built almost 4600 years ago. It would be amazing to see them in person and compare their enormity with pictures published of them. What is even more amazing is the capabilities of the Egyptians in building the pyramids with none of the modern day tools.

The Great Barrier Reef is home to over 1500 types of fishes and 200 species of birds. A visit would be topped with the amazing sights of whales, dolphins and sea turtles in person. This would definitely have to be at the top of a marine lover's list to do.

Great Wall of China Report Abuse
The Great Wall of China is the travel icon of China. A myth has circulated that the Great Wall is so big and long that you could see if from the moon. However, that has never been proven. Just to be able to see something so historical in person should be at the top of everyone's to do list.

Axum, Ethiopia Report Abuse
9 points - added 14 years ago by guest - 1 comment
Comments:
Axum or Aksum is a city in northern Ethiopia which was the original capital of the eponymous kingdom of Axum. Axum was a naval and trading power that ruled the region from ca. 400 BC into the 10th century. The kingdom was also arbitrarily identified as Abyssinia, Ethiopia, and India in medieval writings. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church claims that the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion in Aksum houses the Biblical Ark of the Covenant in which lie the Tablets of Law upon which the Ten Commandments are inscribed.
