I love this painting. Knowing he painted it while in an asylum adds to the appeal. The painting is, so beautiful and peaceful.

Portrait of Dr. Gachet

I love how Van Gogh's skills as an artist show in this painting. There are actually two of these paintings both are authentic and easily differentiated. He painted them during the last months of his life.
