B Is for Burglar (1985) Report Abuse
This book is an absolute page-turner. Grafton is again clever and observant with her characters. Kinsey is hired by Beverly Danzinger to find her sister, Elaine Boldt, a wealthy widow. Beverly assumes that Elaine is probably on vacation somewhere, but Kinsey begins to understand that what seemed like a routine case will be more challenging than she first thought. Kinsey tracks down Elaine's luggage and realizes that she needs to work quickly to solve this mystery. Delightfully twisted. You will want to read it twice!

A is for Alibi Report Abuse
The first in the Kinsey Millhone series, Grafton introduces her sly private investigator, Kinsey Millhone. Grafton draws you in with Kinsey's clever style. This book is a plain old great mystery. Grafton keeps Kinsey busy following leads, interviewing suspects, and finding trouble. You will come to know that Kinsey's work is her life, and except for the occasional evening with a handsome stranger, you can expect her to stay focused on the case. This book will keep you up, even when you should have long before turned in for the night.
