This is a cool list of 20 things you can do to improve yourself. Some of these ideas are meant to be done within your limits - so for example: If the item says try to paint a picture - it doesn't mean you have to become a professional artist, just do your best to do a good job painting a picture.

It doesn't have to be cross country, but it should be more than just a 3-4 hour drive. This can be a great time to sit back and think. Watch other travelers and think of what they're doing or where they're going. Imagine the possibilities.

Half the fun is learning to play, the other half comes when you actually start to master it and you're surprising your friends, or more importantly, surprising yourself.

This depends on your health and training. Maybe you would start with a 5K and move on to a 10K. Or maybe you're already healthy and ready to try a half marathon or go crazy and do the whole 26.2 miles.

Write a Short Story and Post it on the Internet for extended visibility or attempt to get it published.

This can be a celebrity, a favorite sports star or a politician, anyone you consider a reach to try to meet. Then go on a voyage to try to meet them. Don't take it to the point of being a stalker! Just make a few calls and use your imagination. If you really want to do it - you'll think of a way.

And actually sit there and talk with them. Take interest and listen to them. Learn how they got into the position they are in, offer them advice on how to get out of the hole, but don't offer to help them too much, especially financially.

Be sure to do your research. Find a family via a local charity organization.
This one can reap huge rewards for you and the family. And you don't have to do it all alone. Just set it up. If you ask friends and family members to give you donations, of toys, clothes and small sums of money, you can help a family have much better Christmas than they normally would.

When you do this, don't just do it once and quit. Do it for a few games so you get to experience what Little League Umpires go through. Get hit by a pitch, get yelled at by and angry fan or coach, and call a kid out on strikes and watch him walk back to the dugout crying. Then look up at the Umpire pumping his fist for his strikeout. It gives you a new perspective on not just baseball, but all sports.

The biggest thing here is speaking in front of an audience. Many people are shy or timid in front of crowds. Working on this can be hard, unless you conquer your fear and just do it.
