Jaguar was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company by Sir William Lyons in 1922, originally making motorcycle sidecars before developing passenger cars. The name was changed to Jaguar after World War II to avoid the unfavourable connotations of the SS initials nazi

The name "Jaguar" was first introduced in 1935. This is a renowned British automobile; my favorite design is the XK-120 which was built from 1948 - 1954. The XK-120 is a sleek and beautiful car for its time.
