One of the best Alfred Hitchock movie, with Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles and Janet Leigh. The clerck Marion Crane from Phonix is fed up with his life without future (a boyfriend with problems). After stealing her boss money, leaves town and stops at the Bates Hotel for rest, where the proprietor, Norman Bates, who has problems with his dominating mother, kills her under the shower.

The film is based on Francoise Sagan best selling novel, starring Ingrid Bergman and Anthony Perkins and on the music of Johhanes Brahms. This movie tell us a beautiful and unusual love story, not approved by society, between Paula Tessier (played by Ingrid Bergman), a successful 40 years old businesswoman, who is in love with her selfish and charming boyfriend, Roger Demarest (played by Yves Montand), and Phllip Van der Besh (played by Anthony Perkins), the 24-year old, immature lawyer.

It is a story about a Quaker family from southern Indiana during the American Civil War. This religious family who love peace no war, have to decide if should they fight or should they have a peaceful attitude.

With Gregory Peck (USS Sawfish captain Dwight Lionel Towers), Ava Gardner (Moira Davidson), Fred Astaire (scientist Julian – John in the novel – Osborne) and Anthony Perkins (Australian naval officer Peter Holmes). The movie tells us a story about a nuclear war, where humanity has been destroyed, except of one continent, Australia. The people have to face the end.
