Remember what the day is about, although we can show our love anytime this day is set aside to do so. Take the commercialism out of it and simply let your valentine know you love them in your own way.

Mail your valentine a letter in the mail telling them about why you love them. All it will cost you is a postage stamp but it will mean the world to them.

If you both have vacation or sick leave built up at work take the day off and spend it together, you could sleep in have breakfast together spend the day cuddling or just spending time together.

Think back to the college years and how difficult it could be spending money on a date. Did you ever stroll through the park maybe feed the ducks? The park can be a very romantic place and most have mini waterfalls now.

Make your valentine a love coupon book. Use your imagination and make it based on what you know they like and what you are willing to do. This can be as, simple as doing a chore for them or maybe a sensual massage never know where a coupon book may lead you.

Find some of your favorite pictures of him/her and the both of you together, spend a buck or two on a small photo album, place the pictures inside and put a small note in with each on saying why you love that picture so much.
