Hawk and Animal were one of the most successful and influential tag teams ever capturing the tag titles in the AWA, NWA and WWE. Their finisher was the Doomsday Device, which saw Hawk clothesline the opponent off Animal's shoulders. Many teams such as The Legion of Doom tried to copy their unique look but never found the same success.

Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannety burst on the scene in the 80s as the Midnight Rockers in the AWA.
