The Heart Break Kid is considered the greatest wrestler of the current generation. His in ring work and ability to have great matches with anyone is so well respected Ric Flair chose Michaels to be the person to retire him. Shawn's got the pretty boy looks, quick wit on the mic and no regard for his body. Even after nearly crippling himself with a serious back injury he still takes ridiculous bumps.
Comments:
HBK should be in the top 10.. Hell on my list he is number 1. but thats a different storry.... but he should def without a shadow of doubt be in the top 10
A top five all time wwe performer. Maybe even #1.
If not for a career threatening that took 4 prime years we may be discussing the best ever.

How is this guy not in the top 10? I could even argue top 5. Especially with the top 5 on here!
20 consecutive years as main event performer.
The conscience of the post Hogan WWE.
Top ten all time.
The Deadman has stood the test of time. He has set the bar, for all the other big guys who are to attempt to follow in his footsteps. 'Taker is so smooth and fluid for a big guy. He weighs in at about 300 lbs, and is able to go out there and move like a 130 pounder. His mic skills are awesome, he rarely speaks because of his gimmick..but when he picks up the mic, he captures you with every word. His tenure in this business is amazing, and he's dominated every era he's been apart of. Simply put, 'Taker is the MAN!

The Internet Wrestling Community hates him because of his constant backstage politicking, his holding down of younger talent and the fact that, well...he can't wrestle but let me tell you something brother, Hogan WAS wrestling for three decades and is by far the most popular wrestler who ever existed. When my 85 year old grandma has heard of him you know he's crossed the line from wrestler to pop culture icon. Living proof that personality trumps talent in the wrestling business.
Comments:
Halloween Hogan does not belong on any list, Can't wrestle the only thing he can do is bully people and whine when he does not get his own way. He is the worst there is the worst there was and the worst there ever will be.
He was a limited wrestler at his best, a train wreck in later years. An ego of unsurpassed measures. That does not change the fac that Hulk Hogan was the catalyst of the modern age.
dont confuse the two. You can write the history of pro wrestling without a big chapter on Hulk Hogan.

"Acronym" means the letters in the word stand for something, like in SCUBA or NASA. I think you meant "antonym."
Juan cina.! D chmp iz hr! Are you ****ing kidding me? The word wrestler is an acronym to john cena

Hands down the greatest promo man ever, Rocky makes it this high because of his mic work. Quick witted, hilarious and inventive The Rock's popularity grew exponentially in as his catchphrases, songs and mockeries grew more numerous. The Rock was so charismatic and such a great talker in fact, that he was stolen away by Hollywood and left the business to be a full time actor.

Probably the only wrestler on this list that approaches Hogan in mainstream popularity, Austin is considered the greatest draw in pro wrestling history. The crown jewel of the WWE's move to the "Attitude" Era of the late 90s - Stone Cold was The Man during the company's most profitable run, garnering worldwide popularity as the beer drinking, boss stunning, middle-finger waving, redneck anti-hero.

Best professional wrestler ever.
1) Unparralled in ring ability. (legit)
2) Underrated on the mic.

wrestling is 80% how good your rap is, and Dusty and The Macho Man are the top two, period. the wrestling is all fake anyways.
Excuse me guest, but this list isn't about who would beat who.....
I loved Dusty but his current ranking is comical.
Obviously someone had an agenda, he appears twice, (in the top three no less) --money makeer, charisma without end. True legend but no better the top 25 all time.
17.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The 16 Time World Championship is widely regarded as the best ever. "The Nature Boy" has it all, he was consistently one of the best athletes and in ring performers in the world and he combined this talent with a ton of charisma and great mic skills.
Comments:
This is probably one of the best lists I've ever seen. Looks like real wrestling fans are participating in the voting. I do think Steamboat should be ranked higher though - I can say that he participated in the greatest WWF match I've ever seen (Savage/Steamboat) and greatest WCW match (Flair/Steamboat). Lots of worthy names here

A hall of fame wrestler before he ever stepped into the WWF. His run as the million dollar man. endures as an al time gimcik. Great in the ring, wrestling or brawling. Great on the mic too. To many young fans will never know the greatness of wrestling pre-hulkamania, & thats unfortunate.
23.
Lets get this part out of the way... I AM NOT MAKING THIS BECAUSE IM A ORTON DICK HOPPER. With that said, Orton is the youngest world champion in WWE history, obviously. Relatively young i believe Orton still has not reached his prime. At the moment Orton is already a 7 time world champion (1 World heavyweight championship under WWE lineage, 6 wwe championships.) And is only 31 years of age. That is only half the reason i choose him. Orton is an all around great wrestler. He was born for this. He is possibly the smoothest in ring wrestler i have seen. Years from now there will be a list like this and Orton will be number 1 on it.

Edge is by far one of the most decorated WWE superstars of all time. A 14 time tag team champions (record 12 time "WWF/E World tag team championship) 2 WWE tag title. A 5 time intercontinental champion and last but not least an 11 time world champion ( a record 7 time World Heavyweight Champion under WWE lineage and a 4 time wwe champion.) Definite future hall of famer.
Comments:
Great mic skills, good in-ring abilities and a helper in promoting wrestling and in bringing in new talents..he's a better WRESTLER than the rock, stone cold, hulk hogan, john cena, randy orton and all such 'entertainers',if you know what i mean. He belongs to the same league as cm punk, daniel bryan and chris jericho, who are actually 'wrestlers'. By the way,it was edge who helped cena to be what he is now today by his heel gimmick in 2005-06 times. His wrestling was actually enjoying to watch.
This is the other man to have held every male active championship in WWE
I forgot to add that as the current World Heavyweight Champion, us wrestling fans are seeing something we may have thought to never see. He is the face champion of the WWE. The reason i say that is because 1. He is doing a terrific job of being the face but the reason that is amazing to me is the fact that Edge is undoubtedly one of the greatest heels of all time and now hes stepped up to the plate with his face persona and knocked it out of the park as well. Before Royal Rumble 2010 when you heard "You think you know me." The Crowd would boo like Rosie O donnel was stripping in the ring. Now when you hear it, You can literally feel the electricity as the crowd cheers. Thats a real wrestler.

This man was a Japanese legend. Tsuruta was the very first man to hold the AJPW Triple Crown Championship as he unified the titles. As his career and his age grew older, his in ring skills did not deplete. His skills allowed him to continue as a top line worker into his forties, well past his athletic prime. In the wake of his death, the press called him the strongest wrestler in the history of Japanese wrestling. He was arguably the best wrestler in the world in the 1980's.
40.
Misawa is highly regarded as one of the if not best professional wrestler/s of all time. His matches with other Japenese wrestlers soon to be on here were considered some of the greatest most competitive matches ever. His resume of championships speaks for itself but as any real wrestling fan knows what the "Wrestling Observer Newsletter" is this man holds the most five star matches in wrestling history. If you think well thats not that many, think about this most people on this last barely had 1 or 2. Enough said.
Comments:
This mans wrestling career was his life and his death. In his final match on June 13 2009, he was in a match for the GHC tag team titles. During the match, Misawa took a belly to back suplex from an opponent and he lost consciousness. He was presumed dead at 10:10 pm from what appeared to be a cervical spinal cord injury that caused cardiac arrest. Rest in peace sir.

Perhaps the stiffest wrestler of all time, Stiff - meaning the stiffer the more real the blows are in the match. Also meaning if this guy knees you in the face, He kneed you in the face. One of the most decorated Japanese superstars of all time he holds the 3rd most 5 star matches in wrestling history with 17.
