Rock Around the Clock (1956) Report Abuse
This movie centers around the band Bill Haley and the Comets and their rise to fame in New York City. The title track is sung as well as two other hits to make this a very rocking movie.

Don’t Knock the Rock (1956) Report Abuse
This movie has a lot of great tunes in it and a good story as well. A mature rock star returns to town and while the adults turn from him the teens are eager to come to his aid.

One of the few movies churned out by the Elvis machine that was more than just good music, but the music still makes the movie.

The Girl Can’t Help it (1957) Report Abuse
Like most rock movies of the fifties what matters here is not the plot but the music and the talent, both of which are superb in this film.

This movie gained a huge cult following not so much for the plot but for the music and the dance moves that were guaranteed to keep and red-blooded American boy awake.
