Captain Solo Report Abuse

Comments:
He's the coolest captain of a small ship, but he wouldn't have the patience to be a captain like Kirk, Janeway, Archer, Adama. You could say he's shouldn't even be categorized with these captains, but be competing with smaller ship captains with a crew under 10. Adama had to make discussions with a fleet on over 50,000 people in mind and couldn't possibly do the same risky missions that Solo could have done. Yes, most captains didn't have the luxury to behave recklessly, inconsiderately and as negligently as a captain with a crew of only two persons himself and a Chewbacca. It would be interesting to see how these other Captains would act if they only had a crew of two. One things for sure Picard would be the exact same person no matter what, " a complete and utterly bore.

Han Solo may not be so much a captain as a guy who happens to own a ship, but he's still about the coolest character to ever don the title. This guy has two assists when it comes to Death Star kills. Who can challenge that?

Captain Picard Report Abuse
34 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 2 comments
Comments:
This workaholic never once had any fun, it must have been a complete utter bore to play this character that when picked up by a happiness commit completely and utterly refused to enjoy himself not even for a brief second. From the very first episode of New Generation I was not happy with a captain that had a huge lack of humor, although the episodes were interesting, his character was not interesting but bland and lacking life. Even plain water has more flavor in its flavorless taste than this Picard Captain. Ryker was boring as well, but at least his character laughed at a poker game, and Warf who was supposed to lack humor and emotion had twice the humor and emotion as did Pickard. Wolf would have made a more exciting captain and that says it all I think. Picard is, was and will always be to me, a straight up bore. Powerful yes, but a bore none the less. Cue had it right about Picard, I think he was even bored with that Captain.

Picard brought a certain dignified reserve to Star Trek's Enterprise that his predecessor lacked. Time and again, he proved himself a most admirable captain.

Captain Kirk Report Abuse
32 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 1 comment
Comments:
This captain smiled and laughed and had a sense of humor that Captain Picard was grossly lacking. I never liked the Roll Captain Picard took on because of that one missing element. He was way too serious even when there was a need for humor. I think he was a workaholic that thought he was on the job even when he was at the holodeck. His holodeck personality was the very same type of boring that i disliked about Picard the Captain Kirk Had and he didn't, another proof is when that happiness commit came and Kirk was out enjoying himself riding a horse and Picard refused to even enjoy himself even for a second, BORING.

Only this captains name is cool, as a captain he was ruthless and predictable to say the least.

Captain Hook is perhaps the most notorious fictional pirate ever. He's a shoe-in for the fictional-captain hall of fame.

Captain Bill Adama Report Abuse
22 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 1 comment
Comments:
Now this is what i picture as being a captain disserving to become an admiral of a fleet and their president rightfully gave him his admiral rank. He took all of his anger out on that poor ship he was building instead of the fleet. His commands had a dept to them that no other Captain would have until Spock became a Captain, but with a sense of humor that was perfectly timed. He even got up in the ring after surgery to show that he still considered himself one of the members of the fleet and would suffer as one of the fleet would to show a self sacrificial attitude.

Captain Jack Sparrow Report Abuse
16 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 2 comments
Comments:
Cool to have as a captain, but lacking some of Picard's over seriousness. Still much better and fun to watch than Picard's boring nature, in fact Commander Data had much more sense of humor he didn't even realize than Picard ever had and Data was suppose to been the humorless Android too. Sorry Picard, as Cue would say, your boring, but it was Picard's boringness that Cue was so interested in breaking, any other captain and Cue would have never returned. It was Captain Picard's shell and AI nature Cue was interested in investigating and intrigued him so much. Well that's my take.

Johnny Depp's bizarre pirate-persona, Sparrow became a pop-culture icon in no time at all.

Come to think of it, Ahab wasn't such a great captain. Still, he's probably most notable in American literature.

Captain Janeway Report Abuse
7 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 1 comment
Comments:
This was a very serious Captain and a workaholic as Picard was, but she had some personality to her and depth were as Picard's personality was as flat as a board if a sense of humor and personality were measured by a spiking system survey. Kirk was the best captain and Solo is a close behind, in fact when Solo was written, im sure that Kirk was observed as a captain with traits to be imitated on the Solo character.

Captain Sulu Report Abuse

A true warlike captain, who would get over excited in battle and would risk the crew in his desire to entertain himself in a violent confrontation. He would not be able to just keep himself entertained in a holodeck, to him it would have to be real.

Captain Jonathan Archer Report Abuse
2 points - added 14 years ago by JDBLists - 1 comment
Comments:
A well adjusted Captain, but a little too emotionally crew absorbed. If the safety of his crew was at any kind of risk, the results of any matter would be too much in the favor of the enemies of the federation. In battle this quality live to fight another day would abandon other ships on the front line in order to save his own crew. He wouldn't allow his entire crew to die in a war, he's run or hide, but not for the safety himself, he's not selfish, but he's too weak in allowing others to sacrifice their lives, he just couldn't his entire crew to do what it takes, only he could allow himself to die and not others. He's a great science vessel captain, but not in a war type like Sulu, Solo, Picard and even Kirk who loves his crew a little too much is not as badly attached to his crew as Archer allows himself to be. He's cool in all his roles, but as a Captain of a Star Ship, he's to emotionally attached to the crews safety over what may need to be done. He needs to be the engineer or even the nurse.

Captain Autumn Report Abuse
Released in 1982 the triple platinum album Pelican West by the British band Haircut 100 included 12 tracks including the 13th track named “Calling Captain Autumn” . Written by band leader Nick Heyward the lyrics seem to give no clue as to who Captain Autumn might be or why he is being called, Despite that and because of it the track is ridiculously cool and a huge fan favorite.

Captain Marvel Report Abuse
The superhero Captain Marvel was the most popular superhero at one point during the golden age of comic books. Young Billy Bateson had only to say the magic word “Shazam!” And he was granted “ the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury." Although due to legal reasons the now DC Comics owned character has been renamed Shazam he is the original Captain Marvel and sold millions do comic books with the moniker. The character is still published today and is the star of a series of big budget movies.
