The final battle of the Warring States Period, when the remnants of the Toyotomi were besieged by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Tokugawa's victory completely unified Japan, leading to 250 or so years of prosperity and isolation.
