It refers to the YELLOW jackets worn by prison guards who also worked security at the HS on a volunteer basis due to budget cuts. It is not related to the yellowjacket insect that GTU's mascot refers to. Prior to that they had no mascot and the vote through the Student Body passed in a landslide in appreciation for the YELLOW JACKET volunteers.
Georgia Tech are the yellow jackets are well. Refers to a stinging insect not a piece of clothing...

A dreadnaught is another name for a heavy battle ship. Our mascot was named after a ship the was "unsinkable" in ww1 and we even had a wicked awesome mini-battle ship that we toted around to every game that had a giant bell in the middle and large cannons that shot off for every touchdown. You could say my mascot is really strange but in reality we've won 6 state championships, two national titles and we have 5 current NFL players playing and one MLB pitcher. SOOO HOT!! SO HOT TO BE A DREADNAUGHT!!! I'LL BE A DREADNAUGHT TILL I DIE!

It is Artesians, named for artesian wells. Martinsville is "The City of Mineral Water." Once thought to have curative properties, people came to the sanitariums to bathe in the water.
