This campaign from the 1990s featured different celebrities such as Patricia Routeledge, Bob Hoskins, Larry Hagman and Joanna Lumley doing the click at the end of each one. It was the same company (British Gas) that did the 1986 promotion on the 'Sid' campaign. It began with 'The Word' campaign. Customers in every town and city in the United Kingdom would have received a leaflet through the post or other sources, an opportunity to invest in shares before the closing date, let us say June 30th, one month from the promotion started May 31st or June 1st. Then of course the ads. I would imagine at the time during a news bulletin i.e Channel 4 News or ITV's News At Ten.
