Pearl Jam Report Abuse
Eddie Vedder and Crew owned the 90's rock scene, and their popularity has never waned. Their live shows were one of their biggest attractions. Live versions of hits like Alive and Jeremy were awesome, but their B-sides like Yellow Ledbetter and Footsteps were their heart and soul.

Tool is not grunge. Good band, though.

Nirvana Report Abuse
When Smells Like Teen Spirit hit the airwaves, a whole new era of music began, if not for the untimely death of Kurt Cobain, Nirvana was poised for a long illustrious career.

Creed Report Abuse
Creed started in the mid 90's as a grunge offspring. If they had begun earlier they would certainly have been ranked higher but just a few hits like "my own prison" were enough to get them onto the list.

Social Distortion Report Abuse
Social D is really on the edge as to if they deserve to be on this list. They started as punk rock, and really changed with the times always providing awesome music that people loved, including during the grunge movement, as well as before and after.

Bush Report Abuse
Sixteen Stone was a huge hit which converted many anti grudge folks to give it a shot. While Pearl Jam and Nirvana may be the poster boys for the grunge movement, Bush had a huge impact bringing people who may have been avoiding the genre.
