How can you have any kind of a list of rock albums and not have "The King" ranked highly?

Quadrophenia, The Who
The best of the rock operas. It tells a story, from beginning to end, of four personalities of the same character - each depicting a member of THE WHO band. Yet, each song holds up individually. It is set in the 1964-1965 era, so you get a flavor of what England was like in that period for *young adults*. The 2nd of The Who's rock operas. (Remember, Tommy the pinball wizard?) This is a much more mature compilation and story.

"Skynard" is not just arguably the greatest Southern Rock group of all-time, it's one of the greatest rock groups period. While some other albums probably should be ranked higher, it's not surprising that this group would have an album highly ranked.

Many years ago, maybe 20 years, I read a review that not only ranked "Born to Run" as not only the greatest Rock Album, but one of the top 20 pieces of music of any genre (classical, blues, jazz, country, etc.) While I'm not a huge "Boss" fan, I gotta admit that this is one of the greats.
