This is my list of the best states I have visited, in order of preference, based on things like the friendliness of the inhabitants. the beauty of the landscape, and the variety of things to do in the state. There are a million more factors, like how often did I get pulled over by cops or what bad thing happened to me there - but here's the list.

I lived here the first 17 years of my life so maybe it should top the list. I love Virginia. Thefishing is great and the mountains are beautiful. The people are nice. But I have been living in California for 17 years, so that's home now. I love both.

Louisiana

It's the home of the Saints and Mardi Gras and really has some beautiful country. The swamp lands are nice and the bayous offer a great cajun cousine.

Mississippi

The lakes offer great fishing. The ladies are all Southern Belles. And Buloxi has great casino action. And if you get right down to it - Mississippi is a great place to viist. (you might even see Brett Favre trying to decide if he will come back to play NFL Football next year)
