1.
It's a dangerous world out there and you need to know how to disarm your attackers. It works sort of like a muggle "stun gun." However, as Harry learned from Remus Lupin, in serious times you need to attack with more force.
2.
This spell summons things to you. Just say "accio" and the thing you want summoned, and it will fly over from wherever it is. Accio beer!

This is not an unforgivable curse. The unforgivable curses are Crucio, Imperio and Avada Kedavra
Y u say it is one of the unforgivable curses. There are only 3!!
Have u ever read harry potteršits not an unforgivableš”š¤ š£
Its not unforgivable, THAT'S WHY ALL OF THE MOM PEOPLE AND AURORS USE IT!!!!!!
Harry, Hermione, or Ron would never use an unforgivable curse, but they do use Stupefy. ITS NOT UNFORGIVABLE!!!!!!
did u even read the books?!? Crucio is the last unforgivable curse torturing the person u want to use it on. All stupefy does is stun the people u use it on
People use it all the time so it's NOT one of the unforgivable curses
4.
Don't you wish you could just make people forget something sometimes? With this spell you can wipe out memories from someone else's mind. It's great if you've done something embarrassing at a party and don't want it remembered later.
Comments:
but the wizards sometimes do use it. in HP and the Goblet of Fire Arthur Weasley used obliviate on the campsite manager when someone apparated in front of them.
5.
This spell can open just about any door, window or other locked object. It's terribly useful. However, as George and Fred Weasley say in HP Chamber of Secrets, it is good to learn the "muggle trade" of manual lock-picking ... you never know when you might need it.
6.
7.
Sadly, this kind of boring spell is probably the most useful. You just point at something that is broken and with a swish of the wand, it's fixed. It's certainly helped Harry out with his glasses on several occasions.
8.
Who needs health insurance when this spell can instantly heal you if you've been brutally slashed and are now bleeding to death?
9.
The power to make things bigger. For some reason, I just imagine using this at restaurants with small portions.
10.
Creates a magical forcefield between you and your enemies. Hermione used this in Deathly Hallows to protest their campsite from intruders. I'd just want to use it for door-to-door salesmen and Jehovah's Witnesses.
11.
Meant to be used to get rid of soul-sucking dementors, Harry once accidentally used this on Draco Malfoy when he was pretending to be a dementor in order to psych Harry out during a quidditch game. But Harry sure showed him. One of my favorite scenes in the HP films is when Harry is watching himself and Sirius being attacked by dementors and then he realizes that he is the one who must conjure the spell. He stands up and shouts at the top of his lungs, "EXPECTO .... PATRONUM!" and a huge expanse of silver lights bursts out of his wand.
12.
This spell produces a jet of water from your wand, perfect if someone has set your robes on fire.
13.
An excellent spell for finding things that may have rolled under the couch, this charm allows you to lift heavy objects with the flick of a wand.
14.
This is one of the three banned curses, but it is terribly useful if not completely immoral. The imperious curse allows you to control the actions of another. When someone is under the imperious curse they must follow the orders of another wizard. Many wizards have done You-Know-Who's bidding under the imperious curse.

Comments:
this is NOT cool sir it is brutal. PS exception HP himself. AVADA KEDAVRA can also destroy/mutilate a
object with exception of lead which can't be destroyed by any magical thing (source is in Merlin).

Reduction only destroys everything, if you have a very strong reduction charm, like Ginny, otherwise It just minimizes things. Not hating, just stating the facts.

An excellent prank, or a useful means of transporting the injured, this spell lifts people up so that they can be carried along in the air.
26.
Comments:
What about the other unforgivable curse: The Cruciatus Curse (also known as the Torture Curse)
27.
Nox is the opposite of Lumos and puts the light out of your wand after casting it. It is a very basic spell the you would learn in your first year at Hogwarts.
28.
Flipendo is very useful during duels and knocks your opponent off of their feet. It may sound almost harmless, but it really can do some damage.
29.
30.
Lumos causes a light to appear at the end of the userās wand. Great for dark spaces if you canāt see!
31.
Make your opponent do what ever you wish... kill someone, jump off a cliff, make them give you their money etc. It is an unforgivable curse.
