For those of you who don't remember Alf, he was a short fuzzy orange alien who salivated over cats and was on a quest to find styrofoam to bring back to his home planet. Famous catch phrase: Ha! I kill me.

This is the show in which Tom Hanks dresses up in drag, pretending to be a woman so he can live in a ladies-only apartment building. Between this show and Three's Company I can only assume that it was terribly difficult to get an apartment in the 70s and 80s, and that renting property requires a lifetime of deceit.

So Geico had a clever series of commercial, and then they think that it's some sort of comedic gold worthy of its own television show.

This show only had twenty episodes, but the premise was quite memorable. Snow White and Prince Charming get married and have children, but are then sent into the 20th century by a spell from White's evil stepmother. And thus begins the Charmings.

I will excuse a certain amount of the ridiculousness of this show due to the fact that Robin Williams was involved, and he is a comedic genius. But since when have suspenders been a sign of being an alien.

Maybe the 80s was just a time for really absurd storylines ... An inventor builds a robot child and he and his wife pretend to the world that she is a real girl. For some reason, they need to keep this a secret. What is even more odd, is that the couple already has a living child, so why did they need to make a robot child? And if they're trying to convince people that she's a real live girl, why do they have her sleep in a closet instead of giving her a bedroom of her own?
