A Christmas Story

It is definitely a classic. At least one cable channel plays the movie for the entire 24 hours of Christmas Eve. If that doesn't make it a classic I don't know what does.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Because a National Lampoon's movie has to be on every list and this one for sure takes the cake. It is, hands down, the funniest Christmas movie ever made.

The Santa Clause

Only the first one, the sequels were not nearly as good. But basically it is a movie about a guy who becomes Santa when Santa falls off his roof. It is hilarious. I saw it for the first time when I was 10 and I have watched it every year at least once for nearly 20 years now.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I am including both the original and the remake in this one entry because I truly love both movies. It is a classic Christmas story that every child knows while growing up. And of course, every child at some point is scared that the Grinch is going to come and steal all the presents Santa leaves them.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

The clay-mation movies are a Christmas staple that every child grows up watching. Rudolph happens to be my favorite and even as an adult I love watching it and will still stare at the screen captivated the entire time.
