I am British and this is my favourite Korean film. It gets gory but is based on true events. Much of it was filmed in the dark or while raining - fabulous film work. Grim but credible.

The movie takes place during the Korean War the movie is set during the Korean War, where forces from North and South Korea find themselves in a village so isolated that the villagers were unaware that there was a war waging around them.
