sting is the greatest wrestler wcw ever had,he is maybe the only original so in my opinion he should be ranked number 1
Sting was definitely the "franchise" of WCW, and the only top draw who didn't work for Vinnie Mac. He was the top babyface in the company for years until Hogan arrived in 94. Once Hogan turned heel, Sting resumed the role, and became even more popular with his "crow" character. Even though he didn't actually wrestle for over a year, Sting was WCW's top babyface when the company was kicking the WWE's a$$ in the ratings war. Watching videos on youtube of him propelling down from the ceiling and hearing how loud the crowd would pop still gives me shivers.

Woo, The Nature Boy has been a wrestling star for a long time and his work in WCW was some of his best.

Some might be upset Flair isn't closer to the top, but hear me out. Yes, Flair bled the NWA/WCW for decades, and yes he was one of the most technically sound and charismatic wrestlers ever to grace WCW. However, Flair was never the top draw in WCW when it was on top. If you look back at WCW from 96 to 98, Flair was rarely used in the main event. Instead, he'd be used in midcard feuds against Syxx, the Outsiders, or Piper. It wasn't until 1999, when the WWE was winning the ratings war again, that Flair finally started wrestling for the World Title again. Now while this is more Bischoff's fault than Flair's, it doesn't change the fact that Flair wasn't in the main event picture during the best years in WCW. However, he does earn the #4 spot for carrying the torch for so long.

Booker T was the dominant superstar, along with Scott Steiner, for WCW during the companies final year or so. Booker was also one half of the Harlem Heat, one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and he and Stevie Ray had some great feuds with the Outsiders and Steiner Brothers.

golberg's 157-0 at wcw is the greatest streak in this company's history after undertaker's wrestlemania.
i think he should be number one in this list.
While Golderg's stint may have been brief, he definitely made an impact. In 1998, Goldberg was just as popular as Austin and the Rock. His match with Hogan for the World Title drew a 6.91, the highest rating during the Monday Night Wars at that time, and his rematch with DDP on Nitro from Halloween Havoc was the last time Nitro would win the ratings war with the WWE.

Savage's character was awesome in WCW... he was absolutely nuts! When the nWo was first formed, Savage was one of the main guys to take them on, main eventing against Hogan on occasion. When he joined the nWo, he had a very successful feud with DDP. He would later win the title from Sting, but then lose it quickly to Hogan.

Comments:
DDP's feud with Randy Savage in 1997 propelled him to main event status. Some have argued he should have been given the World Title win over Hogan in 97 instead of Luger. DDP would have some big-time matches with the likes of Savage, Hogan and Goldberg during WCW's best years, but it would take him a while to win the big one. He finally did win his first World Title in 1999, but once again, it was when WCW was on the decline.

While Hogan may have been the leader of the nWo, the Outsiders were still a big part of the group's success, and thus, WCW's success. The only reason they're so far down the list is because they didn't compete in main event World Title matches, but dominated the tag team division instead. Nash gets a higher grade than Hall simply because he won the World Title in WCW, while Hall did not. However, this wasn't until after WWE had taken over the ratings war.

The last of the main eventers during WCW's most successful years. That is, unless you count the Warrior, but his stint was so brief I won't even count it. Piper was also huge, but he would only make appearances here and there, and was never a full-time wrestler for the company. Anyways, back to the Giant. He was the first man to try and stop Hogan when the nWo was formed (and lost his World Title). He would then become the 4th member of the nWo, but then later kicked out after earning a shot for the World Title when he won World War 3. He would then team up with Luger to take on the nWo for a while, before joining the nWo again.

While Sting was skulking in the balconies for over a year, Luger took the ball and ran with it. He was the biggest face for WCW during that time, and was the top threat to the nWo. He beat Hogan three times in 1997 alone, and the final win for the title on Nitro is considered one of the biggest matches ever on the show.

Scott Steiner also had a solid World Title run near the end of WCW's existence. The readon Booker gets a point above is because Booker beat Steiner on the last episode of Nitro to be known as the last WCW World Champion (in WCW anyways). Scott also had a great run as a mid-card wrestler with the nWo, and along with his brother Rick, had a successful tag team career as one half of the Steiner Brothers.
