Made in Dominican Republic by Maestros Roneros Cubanos. This is the greatest rum of Oliver & Oliver house, part of Cubaney family. It has an attractive dark cherry color with ruby flashes. An extraordinary "great reserve", a treasure full of strength and fruity aromas with presence of vanilla, almonds and old oaks, reinforce a balanced bouquet, very vigorous, which announces its excellence. Is a very sophisticated rum, slightly doomed, silky, achieving the perfect roundness of flavors, both primary and persistent. To our brand is the insignia rum and we consider it the best in the world. Enjoy preferably alone.

Great Haitian rum aged 15 years +...wonderful taste.

Brown rum distilled from fermented molasses. Minimum of 6 to 10 years in used whisky and bourbon barrels. The older of the two rums from Barrilito, the extra time spent aging is evident in this heavier rum with a slightly smoky flavor that doesn't overpower the rum flavor. Bottled at 43% alcohol by volume.

In the two contests that were presented "2007 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition in New Orleans, La. and the" 2007 International Cane Spirits Festival "in Tampa, Florida, we were awarded gold medals. Have been traveling around and tasted something in this country (Philippines) . People say its a new product. The most outstanding taste from the tip and after taste that i dont want to try another rum for the night.

Can only be bought in Jamaica which is why its probably not on the list yet. Best rum I've gotten my hands on.

Appleton Blue is the cognac of rums. Aged to perfection. Smooth and mellow beyond belief. I note that Appleton VX, a very fine rum but markedly inferior to Appleton Blue, sits on your top ten list whereas Blue isn't even mentioned. I assume it's the price - $90-$110 per 750 Ml -which is above your readers' snack bracket.
