It took 45 minutes at 2:00 in the afternoon on a Thursday just to go a few miles down it. Tons of construction and traffic

Took us like 10 minutes to get through a traffic jam and guess what, there was no wreck.
5.
The worst freeway in the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex, this freeway is NEVER a good route. I mean it when I say never. Day, night, rush hour, Chirstmas at noon, this road cannot be trusted.
6.
7.
Once I sat on this freeway for 3 hours to go 20 miles. The worst part was, it was normal. There were no weird accidents and no major construction...people just sit in that stuff every single day. It almost made me lose my mind.

This freeway has just become a nightmare. Austin is too big for this road, so Austinites have to deal with the congestion but so does anyone getting from pretty much anwhere north trying to get to San Antonio or New Braunfels or the hill country or even trying to visit Austin itself. Go in the middle of the night.

At any time of day, you might be stuck on this road going 0-5 miles an hour for two hours. It's a frustrating congestion, because there is never really a "reason"...it seems like people just see the Rufe Snow exit sign and slam on their brakes.
