Music Report Abuse

Music is wonderful. I am writing an entire research paper on why everyone should participate in music. The amount of back-up I found is incredible! (yet totally credible sources) It has great effects on the brain, and history can tell you there is no better form of entertainment. I play percussion and piano, while still make strait A's, so Im not rolling with the whole "damaging the brain" thing.

You do realize it means PLAYING a musical instrument, not listening to music, right?

whats up with the comment above? jaja...music enhances learning, more like it magnifies the braincells than damaging them. of course, choosing the kind of music has a lot to do with it. i dont like lettuce, but im not gonna say that it makes you fat because i dont like it, im just gonna respect others for liking it and eating it.

music should not be first because it damages the brain with unsuccessful noise. children should spend there time reading or playing a sport. every once in a while listen to music. but not all of the time

Debate Team Report Abuse
36 points - added 15 years ago by JARM - 1 comment
Comments:
debate has taught me a ton about the world and society that I wouldn't normally have known. It was my best decision in my freshmen year! Also, the biggest plus from it is the communtication skills you get. I used to be shy and afraid to voice my opinions but after just 1 year of deabte I feel so much more confident! I'd suggest it any day :)

Student Council Report Abuse
Great at teaching kids reasonability and ethics.
28 points - added 15 years ago by JARM - 2 comments
Comments:
The student council usually connects the student body to the officials. At our school, the student council informs us about events and gets our opinions to the adults with the power. They can be called the go-between of sorts. Fighting? Ive never heard of. They dont have unsupervised meetings or anything, and the kids who are in it are the smartest, most sensible, kids in the school.

Does that mean like kids teach other kids? Or it means that adults teach us? Because with the other kid around we have to work together, right? Or is t individual? Because no information comes along with this. Because if the other kids gets into the fight with another, and you have to help out or is it with the other kid who fights? And what happens if the student counciler gets into a fight too? Not this one. But the other team mate if they allow it. For I'm the one who's asking all these questions and you need to answer them.
