Yes, the Spinosaurus was the biggest carnivore that ever walked on land. There is another sea creature that is bigger. For example, Basilosaurus or Megalodon.

A big dinosaur over 43 feet long and is probably as strong as the t rex because of its size and looks kinda the same. It is also very intelligent. Wished it would be in Jurassic park fighting with spino and joining the t rex. Coolest dinosaur to live in Earth!

Velociraptor Report Abuse
First made famous in the Jurassic Park movie, the Velociraptor has become a favorite for dinosaur fans. It was a deadly predator with razor sharp claws and teeth and caught prey by running them down (it could reach speeds of 40 mph)

Velociraptor was very little. It arrives to the thigh of an human! Velociraptor is not the fastest, not the smartest and not the most dangerous. Jurassic Park make a mistake.

We can derive none of this info from fossil records...it is only a guess that they were fast, smart, or communicated well.

I was thinking the raptors in JP were more like Utahraptors, i wouldn't really lean toward Deinonychus. they're much too small still.
Added 1 year ago by guest, 2 points Vote + to improve this comment's ranking Vote - to decrease this comment's ranking
yeah, according TO THE MOVIE they were fast. we don't know anything about that from their bone structure. seriously guys.
Added 2 years ago by guest, -2 points Vote + to improve this comment's ranking Vote - to decrease this comment's ranking
and they weren't slow at all, what are you talking about? they were like a pack of smaller cheetahs.
Added 2 years ago by guest, 0 points Vote + to improve this comment's ranking Vote - to decrease this comment's ranking
They were smarter than most dinosaurs. You can't make them out to be big turkeys, because they're so much more than that. a Velociraptor would rip a turkey their size apart, and although they couldn't open doors, they had problem solving and multitasking skills that most other dinosaurs didn't have. A recent discovery even show that they communicated with each other not only through their screech, but with a series of hand motions, and were almost as much of a predator as Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Added 2 years ago by guest, 2 points Vote + to improve this comment's ranking Vote - to decrease this comment's ranking
the dinosaur shown in Jurassic Park was actually not a velociraptor. It was a Deinonychus. Velociraptors were actually short, slow, and not very smart. They were like big turkeys (which funnily enough is how the kid in the beginning of the movie describes them). I know, it's sad that they are not nearly as awesome as Spielberg would have us believe.

Pterodactyl Report Abuse
Although technically not dinosaurs, Pterodactyls were the first flying vertebrates, with a wingspan of over 40 feet. These giant flying reptiles still fascinate people and may have been an early model for the dragon mythology

"the Pterodactyl is my favorite dinosaur" - BOOM
Added 1 year ago by guest, 0 points Vote + to improve this comment's ranking Vote - to decrease this comment's ranking
Actually there's no such thing as a Pterodactyl. the group of flying reptiles is known as Pterosaurs and the closest thing to a pterodactyl is a Pterodactylus which is small with no tail or crest. usually when people think of a "pterodactyl" they think of a Pteranodon. Pteranodon was a 6 foot tall, 7 foot long creature with a 20 foot wingspan. It had a very short tail and a long crest on the back of its head. so next time u stupidly say "the Pterodactyl is my favorite dinosaur" know that that's like saying "Mocholate Chilk is my favorite drink" eight year olds who like dinosaurs out there: you're all idiots.
