Dont over clean the tank Report Abuse
A healthy tank will have a little algae which is good for the fish to eat - The filter should clean out most of the waste - the aquarium will naturally adjust to a healthy environment with just a little housekeeping and the fish will be alot calmer and will live longer.

They reproduce so fast that soon you could have hundreds of baby snalls - if you by chance get them - buy a clown loach - they love to munch on snails and will keep them at bay!

tropical fish require a heater - the tropicals will die of shock without heat and the goldfish will die with too much heat

don't use soaps - they will hurt the fish - rinse everything well with water -tank-plants-rocks & gravel as they can have contaminates on them from the manufacturers

Tropicals come from warmer waters - cold temperatures will cause them to get sick and die - or commit suicide by jumping from the tank
