For containers, these varieties do best: 'basket king hybrid', 'golden pigmy', 'patio prize', 'red cherry', 'tiny tim', and 'tom thumb'. 50-100 days to harvest. Home grown tomatoes are the best.

Suitable for a large window box type container, asparagus requires at least a year to produce edible spears. Start with a dormant root. Well worth the wait.
