Comments:
Most fabulously fragrant and gorgeous rose ever. Grew 60 rose bushes for 21 years until we moved, but the Mr. Lincolns were everyone's favorite. Won a ribbon at a rose show for one bloom. Stems up to 3 ft. long. Bushes grew to 8 ft. Blooms opened to 8 inches. Became allergic to all poisons so only watered, mulched, and fertilized. Still they grew great. Occasional blackspot and a genetic virus, neither of which affected the blooms at all. Bought 3 Mr. Lincoln bushes on sale in pots at the end of a very HOT Texas summer in the 70's for a dollar each! They looked dried out, but added Miracle Grow for Roses and they grew about a foot a week. Wish I had a 100 of these roses and a gardener to do the work! Best rose ever.
