This nail polish is expensive but it lasts much longer than other nail polishes without chipping. It also has arguably the best color selection.
Comments:
I'm doing an experiment on which nail Polish will last the longest using Sally Hansen crackled, Sinful colors, and Milani, I can't find which one lasted the longest, can someone plz help me find out?
Beautiful glitters and colors, however they never dry and chip super fast. Goopy and too expensive.
I think it's a good brand but only if you add some kind of topcoat over it so it won't chip!
it helps it from coming off and from it being affected by the sun and ruining it
i think this is the best brand becuase it has a chemical that helps it coming off in the sun
Easy to apply, and if u apply in the right way, it won't chip for 5 days
I don’t know why OPI is as popular as it is. I don’t consider $8 to be expensive for a good bottle of polish, but not when the quality is as inconsistent as this brand is. Sure, the colors are great (some colors seem to go on more evenly than others) but the polish does not go on evenly in most cases, bubbles, and chips within a couple of days. Yes, there are worse products but OPI is still very overrated, in my opinion. I guess it just comes down to clever marketing.
I used to think that OPI is a great nailpolish brand, but for $19.99 (here in OZ) it certainly is not worth the price. The colour chips the next day, even the same day if you put it on early enough in the day and do things around the house. It might be good for nails that dont do any housework, but who can get away with that these days? so all in all a very disapointing brand considering the hefty price tag!! I find that Revlon stays on much longer and doesnt carry a high price tag
It's kind of pricey... But, it is definitely worth the money! Great color selection and high shine and very chip-resistant! THE BEST!! :)
OPI looks amazing. I only have one color in it, but I have an OPI crackle also. they last forever & come off easily :)
Mr nail polish user here. I am a pianist and my nails take abuse. O.P.I. is by far the finest of products for men. I use a base coat or two of clear, and then a top coat of Nail Envy (OPI) Matte clear. My nails look great (natural, for a guy) and the super durable finish does not chip and it protects my nails from splitting. LOVE IT!!!
I love OPI it's a great brand and you are paying a good deal for the great quality it last. And OPI has
beautiful colors that you can match what ever you wear. GREAT POLISH.
I really do love OPI and Essie. I just started using OPI nail envy - if you don't have it, get it. Man....my polish NEVER chips anymore. My manicure is going on 5 days with no chips. And I've been working and banging my hands - all that. I've had OPI, Essie, basically any polish chip. I won't ever stop using Nail envy if it keeps keeping my polish chip-free. It's expensive, but worth it!
In my opinion, OPI is the best nail polish out there. It has a awesome color selection, and never chips. It goes on evenly and since it doesn't chip I can add details to it, like adding a zebra stripe pattern, and I don't have to worry about it chipping. I trust OPI, I can do everyday chores and nothing chips. I have tried other brands but none of them can top OPI. Most other brands chip when I am just doing my everyday chores, and that is real annoying. So for me, OPI is the best brand out there.
I love OPI. It lasts so long without chipping. So I can do more with my nails, like as details, without worrying that the details will chip.
i love the crackle polish. perfect shatter effect every time. just remember to use a light coat, though.
I never really see this type of nail polish but I found it one time and it is sooooooo much better than haply Hanson
I have OPI in My Chihuahua Bites and i totally love the color, and it is soooo much easier to put on than sally hensen but i hate that it chips sooo quickly!
LOOOOOVE THE COLORS
i love OPI! but i also love China glaze, i think they are tied for my top two favorites. They both have amazing color selections
I love this I think it's amazing it's abit expensive but well worth it!
it will chip with a day or two and with one with sparkles they fall right off
Have nothing bad to say about OPI other than it chips quick! Lovely colors, easy to apply, but if you want something long lasting, go to the drug store and pick up a bottle of something Sally Hansen.
I totally love the quirkiness of OPI however I do find that it chips quite quickly.
OPI has a million colors however, it always chips after 2 days!
OPI is such a spectacular brand! I love their various collections & their colors go on so rich & creamy, without being thick. However, I have come across every once in a great while, an old bottle of OPI that has too much thickness in the consistency, but that's rare & means it's from their old formula which is still a great formula, but can have that thickness on rare occasion. That really doesn't concern me because the pro's outweigh the con's w/ OPI. OPI's shades, collexctions & the fact that OPI NEVER chips has me sold! I like ORLY 2nd & ESSIE 3rd, but it's not even close! I believe that for the quality & price, OPI is way worth it! OPI is in a class of it's own & I learned that the hard way from buying the ridiculiously expensive Chanel polish (ZZZZZzzzzz!) & too $$$$$$$$$$ for what you receive! OPI never disappoints unless you simply don't like the color once you get it home from the store! That has happened to me before as you girls all know & I loved it in the bottle at the store & when I applied it, it looked dreadful! That happens w/ all polish brands but way less w/ OPI! Life is hard enough & time is always a factor. I want to look fabulous w/out having to waste too much time! I know when I'm purchasing OPI that it's going to be 100% satisfaction & that secure, comforting, secure feeling I get when purchasing OPI because I know that I may be spending a little bit more, but the piece of mind far exceeds the cost! I'm so excited that I'm about to purchase some OPI polishes from some of their fabulous collections! Enjoy girls! :)
Its a good nail polish but it is expesive i do love it thaugh! he he
Cutesy colors and I can wear those colors with anything it's great for school cause it won't chip and good for a night on the town!
I love OPI..it is the best nail polish ever & they have so many colors that look good!!
i LOVE this nail varnish i wear it all the time, but its hard to get in the uk and quite expensive! but is really easy to apply (only one coat), and last for ages! definatly recomend it!:)
Since I bought my first Opi nail polish...I haven't been able to turn back! I'll quite happily pay the high price for the quality and the color range! Opi is AMAZING!!
I must know. Which polish chips less often? I recently removed my acrylics because my nails are very think and soft. I need to keep them polished but all chips off so quickly. Any suggestions? Please emil me at riolerma@gmail.com ..I don't know if anyone responds to this but it would certainly help me out.
i love this nail polish , its the only nail polish that i buy ...i cant acctually trust it lol!!!!!!!
I like it, but hate the thickness of it, it's uneasy to apply for my taste.
I Love It Its The Best I Wear No Other Brand And It Doesn't Chip!
The OPI has great colours, but it doesn't hold up to China Glaze for wear. China Glaze has a great colour selection, FUN colours.
I LOVE this nail polish!! True, it can be expensive but very much worth it!! best color palette EVER, and never chips!!

Thin, doesn't dry quickly. Lots of good color varieties, but they're colors don't stay and the base and top coats don't work at all. Never purchasing again.
the colors of china glaze are super sexy i love it ... the best polish ever
i love the brand but cant find anything on the internet for a project ;(
I got a manicure at a salon & fell in love with the Pool Party color! I have yet to buy, but it lasted a long time & was super cute!
I have two of the polishes from the Hunger Games line, and both of them were very good colors! They stayed on very long without chipping.
I have all of the crackles and think their amazing but I found the smell really strong worse than other brands but many it's just the crackle ones!
I lovee this polish it has lots of different colors and doesnt chip
I love their crackle I have six of the colours love them all there the best type of crackle out there!
i have china glaze and it dries flat and chips within the next 8 hours. horrible compared to OPI
omg the best kind on earth they have glamourous colors i dont know how to spell glamourous
i LOVE China Glaze, has to be my top pick every time. I wear it constantly and the only time i had chipping issues was after a day of working in the garden. With the right base and top coat most colours are flawless. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
i HATE china glaze!!!!!!!!! i got a manicure at a spa and they used china glaze and it chipped the day after.
I love it and it has pretty colors opi costs way!!! more just the same
china glaze is horrible. it's so thin and often chips the first day! this would not be my second choice.
so love China Glaze one of the best so far for me i done use anything other than China Glaze in love with all the colors that they offer.
Is all nail polish the same? I read that it is all made by one manufacturer.
I must know. Which polish chips less often? I recently removed my acrylics because my nails are very think and soft. I need to keep them polished but all chips off so quickly. Any suggestions? Please emil me at riolerma@gmail.com ..I don't know if anyone responds to this but it would certainly help me out.
cannot express enough how much i love this brand. FYI the same people that make OPI makes China Glaze, so why not spend less for the same quality.
China Glaze is the best nail polish. It's what I use with my clients.
China Glaze has a fantastic color selection, but does tend to occasionally streak or fade. It is sold for a great price and like I said GREAT color palette!! my fav is For Audrey, absolutely gorgeous!

I have mixed feelings about Essie. I bought a couple bottles when I had artificial acrylic nails, and it took forever to dry and chipped easily once it did. But now that I've grown out my natural nails, it stays on better and dries faster. So I like it for now, but if I go with acrylics again, I'll pick another brand.
The colors are too milky and never seem to be opaque enough for me. Too expensive & not that great.
absolutely dont agree with this post. i have few Essie polishes and hate the quality, it doesnt cheap cuz it just comes out totally. takes long time to dry and colors on nails are not shiny. would never recommend
I've never owned an Essie, but the color choices aren't my type really.
I love Essie! The colors are always so chic and they last very long! Best of all, there's no chemicals!
I love Essie. When i first found out about it, I wanted to buy every color except the clear ones. Although Essie can be expensive to some people, others will over pay for stupid things that are unnecessary and frivolous: so why not go out on yourself.
I disagree although Essie is chip resistant the formulas are all different and you can never know that you will get an opaque smooth finish unlike opi and china glaze. Plus it lays one day without a topcoat and the colors are mainly nudes and pastels nothing really exciting for the young mind.
Pretty expensive but the colors are REALLY pretty. The first coat looks really uneven but second coat is easy to apply and really even.
i love essie nail polishh!!!!!!! they may be expensive but it worth it since the polish run so smoothly while all there color are all good lookingggg
They have amazing collections and beautiful colors, but I feel like you don't really get what you pay for. It goes on nicely, the texture is very professional looking when it dries, but it does unfortunately chip easily. I only have a couple of their polishes, but I don't think I would buy anymore.
Love it! Goes on thin at first, but smooth. Easy to get second coat done. No bubbles!
I love Essie polishes they have some gorgeous colors, but I feel like some colors are very close to each other in this brand so i'm always careful. If you have time to look around in other brand you can find dupes so you don't have to pay the price of Essie. I use Orly basecoat and topcoat everytime I do my nails no matter the brand of the polish and Essie usually lasts around 4 or 5 days before chipping. And even if I use Seche Vite quick dry it still takes a long time to dry
I love Essie. They have the best and widest selection of non-metallic and non-glitter colors and they don't chip for the amount of time that I keep nail polish on for. However, I only keep nail polish on for 4-5 days at most since I get bored of the color easily. The Matte About You top coat is also great on darker colors. It turns satin after a day or two but it dries so fast that it doesn't really matter if you need another application.
ESSIE is one of my absolute favorite nail polish! I thought the sales lady was just trying to sell me the product and randomly selecting a brand, but she was right when she said it doesn't chip and more opaque than OPI. If you use a good base coat, this nail polish will not chip at all. I've washed the dishes, taken baths, and clean without having to worry that the polish will come off. It's a great buy!
No offense to the other comments, but ESSIE is by far the best nail polish I've used. I usually apply a base coat and 2-4 layers (depending on the shade) and a top coat. BY FAR the longest lasting nail polish. And it applies really easily and unexpensive. The only reason I remove it is because my nails grow too long or I am bored of the color.
Overall quality better than OPI, and Borghese (which is another great brand)
I'm with the other reviewer--Essie's quality does not match its price. It chips easily, and I'm not sure why people really like it! Wears very easily....
No matter how I apply Essie polish, or how good my TC is, it chips within hours....

Stays on for a long time, doesn't chip, great colors and a great brand!
For me, a few of the lighter colors bubble easily and are a little streaky. I've never really had any problems with chipping though.
My friend has this polish in a pretty gold color. They started chipping after 2 hours!
I love the colors I have from Orly because they aren't close to color payoff in other brands, but I don't own many because some are very thick. My favorite black polish got very goopy after 2 months. However, I don't think it's all of them so I still love this brand and the chip resistance is pretty impressive
I love Orly polish for my French's. For quite a while I have been purchasing it to do French Tips, it does a great job, this is my favorite so far. It's stayed on about 5 days and no cracking or chipping, which is a first for me! At first I used it with a top coat from a different brand...BIG mistake! Oh and always use a clear top coat. It gives the nails a nice thick healthy look and stays on longer!
I'm not a fan of this polish...bought it at Sally Beauty Supply, and was VERY disappointed. Doesn't last more than 2 days before chipping. This is WITHOUT a base coat though, but for a high-end polish I think it should still hold up better!
the best cap, the best ergonomy (you can hold it in hand with ease), large and generous, nice color selection and best french selection. really long lasting specially when you have thebase cote (BONDER) on. oh i love it.
never chips, doesn't fade, great polish sold for a reasonable price.

I bought a color palette from Zoya and the colors are AMAZING and very unique. But my experience is that the polish is thinner than say OPI. So you have to use more coats. It does wear pretty well.
Very nice color . Lisa color is so nice. but chip badly after 36 hours
Idk much about Zoya but I heard that it is amazing and I know that there colors are gorgeous. The one bad part is that they usually can Only order on the Internet and are around $8 without shipping. I have never used it but I will like to soon:)
I love it I recently got the color Kendal and I'm loving it!!

I got one of those nail polishes awhile ago and it was terrible. It never dryed and if it did dry it chipped the next day.
I have always found it to take an exceedingly long time to dry.
It has great colors (I am wearing Black Out right now) but chips after two days. Over all it is pretty good.
1 of my fav. nail polish'sever and if it says on ur nails after its only because u got cheep nail polish remover if u get the good stuff its great
This nail polish collection should be #1. Went to the salon, got a mani, got a color that was OPI brand.. chipped the next day. Bought and applied China Glaze from the salon distributer, chipped the next day. Bought SALLY HANSEN XTREME WEAR from Wal-mart, and it still looks as if I just applied it. It's been a week and a half. Inexpensive, dependable and worth your $$$. Sally Hansen is THE BEST.
I hate this nail polish. I bought the Blue Me Away one and when I was taking off the nail poish my nails stayed blue. and i was about to get french tip nails!!!!!
Under $3.00 and lasts at least a week without chipping, big color selection, love it, bathroom cupboard is full! Lol purple potion looks great on toes, grey area is pretty on hands!

the only thing I don't like about this nail polish is that you have to apply a lot of coat to get a nice result !
I absolutely love SH's products especially the "complete Salon Manicure". I have used a bunch of SH & loved their wears (7-11 days for me for most), colors, quality & the prices. Great product!!!! My fav. color from them is the "Hidden Treasure"... SH, please bring this one back!!!

One of my favorite brands. recommend for no streaks, stains, goopyness, or fade. Love it:)
Pure Ice is by far and away my favorite nail polish brand, and I hate to paint my nails! Goes on smooth, doesn't chip (when done with 2 coats), great colors, and SUPER cheap! Love it!
My favorite nail polish brand BY FAR. It's so smooth, chip-resistant, inexpensive, and best of all, it has AMAZING colors! It's only like, $2.00 too!
LOVE IT AND AT WAL*MART IT IS 1.00$ and it looks great on everyone just as good as opi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love pure ice and i like how smooth it looks and just so you know you have to do two coats
I assume this is the Pure ICE brand? I LOVE this brand for the price...2 coats of polish and a good top coat, this stuff will last like OPI or China Glaze!! And, there is a decent color selection.

A little pricy, but WICKED colours and the best nail polish I have ever used. I have had it on for a week and it still has not chipped. It dries fast and is very light on my nails, unlike some brands that feel very thick on.
Comments:
I never liked my nails when I left after getting a manicure and pedicure. I always just thought my nails on my hands and feet were ugly. I bought the Deborah Lippmann nail polish and my nails look great! I think the brand of the nail polish matters!! The nail polish in the salons are cheap. The colors are amazing and do not look thick on your nails.
colors are awesome, quality sucks. buy only if u r truly in love with the colour
I absolutely love DL nail polish! Even though it is a little pricey, it is amazing. I can literally keep a DL polish on for 1 week straight without ANY chipping! And don't even get me strted about the glitters! They are amazing! LOVE! :)

this brand should be number one!!! they have every color from white to black to pastel to neon!!! i mean every color and every glitter combonation! it does not chip and every nail polish turns your finger nails yellow if you don't use a base coat!!! and of course there are going to be people say "it chips easy" about every brand because we all live different lifestyles with our hands, just buy a bottle from each brand and test them out, that's the best way to know!!!

Beautiful colors, but I always need three or more coats to get it opaque. Otherwise, it's a great polish!
I Like this polish, but sadly it is not the best. Pretty colors, however dries slowly and needs about 3 coats to get the true color.
I've had it on for like 7 weeks and I have a hectic timetable. I go everywhere and yet it hasn't chipped a bit! not even one tiny speck! It's colours aren't opaque and are bright and full on. It's great
Does not chip till a LONG time. There scented one's smell awesome!!!! Doesn't make your nails yellow!! Great colours, and top speed nail polish! The price is good 2. Doesnt bubble at all
does not chip all that much then i have used but some need at least 3 coats when some only need 2 coats
It's a really good polish not only for its price, but in general! They have some really nice colors and I've never had any issues with chipping. I've had craving coral (which is one of my favorite colors!) on my toes for two weeks and counting!
I am reviewing the Revlon Colorstay / 10-day polish. LOVE (D) it! Why did Revlon ever discontinue this?? The BEST polish I've ever used...

I dug up a bottle of Chanel I bought 5 years ago-I loved it back then, but for some reason I forgot I had it. I was already surprised to see it was not clogged, but when I tried it on,I was amazed:it applied perfectly (over my week-old pedi),it looked really nice and very glossy.at that price,at least I know I can keep it for years!(I have never finished a bottle of polish in my life except base coat-hardener)
BEST NAIL POLISH EVER! Get peridot, graphite, and quarts are the best and stay on for a week and a half without a chip in sight. Definately worth the price! Not only sre the chanel colors great but the base and topcoats are great too! The top coat, along with all of the colored nail polishes are super shiny and the ones I have listed pick up many different colors. Peridot can look blue, green, yellor, or gold. Graphite is silvery but can loke kind of purply or gold-ish. Quarts can look silver, taupe, or gold. Blue and Black satin are also among my favorites but they are all really great. I personally own 17 different chanel polishes, not including top and base coats.
BEST EVER! some of the colors are not too good. you just need to pick the right ones. graphite and peridot last weeks =)

My faaaaaaavorite! But don't keep it in the heat, because after a few weeks it will get really thick and won't want to dry. It's a little pricy, $14 where i get it but it dries fast, goes on smoothly and doesn't chip as fast as anything else i have! I'm a cosmetology student so i know tons of brands!
I absolutely adore butter nail polish! It goes on so smoothly and is Three-Free (free of the 3 mos dangerous chemicals most nail laquers contain). It also stays on forever, especially when I use the Nail Foundation base coat!
butter LONDON is the best polish- non toxic, fabulous colours, great names and stays on longer than anything else i tried. i love it .

Cheap, and practical. Love it, but wish there was more color selection. Idk if id call it the best brand, but it's close.
I love this brand. It doesnt chip for days and its only $2. I also love the color selection and I always get it at walgreens.
I really like this brand so far. It's very cheap, and I think you get your money's worth for sure. I love the colors and I think it stays in pretty well.
i have alot of this brand and some colors chip and some stay on for a while. i love the different colors and it costs like $2!
good but one color left my nails stained yellow for a long time
LOVEE THIS POLISH BUT I USUALLY NEED TO ADD MORE THAN 2 COATS SO THE COLOR CAN BE BRIGHT.
I wear this nail polish litterally daily. I change my color almost every day and I apply a top coat, no bottom coat, and it stays on with no issues. I love this polish, it is cheap and has great staying power. I work in a place where my nails are constantly in jeapordy and this polish stays without an issue. I have never had any problems and I own half of the collection. I highly recommend it!
Around Christmas I wanted a tree green color but didn't want to spend alot because I just wanted it for the holidays. I used a base coat and only 1 coat of polish and it stained my nails. On top of that it chipped in the first day which made me angry
chips like hell on hands but has better staying power on feet. good buy because they're so inexpensive. i would only recommend if you are experimenting with colours other than that add on a few more dollars and buy China Glaze.
As much as I love the color selection and the price, this polish has AWFUL staying power! I mean, ZERO!!

I used finger paints over the weekend for some water marbling - so far it is great. No chips and it worked well for the most part. What kinks I did have I think were b/c my first time going the water marble.
Beautiful colors! Hue Rang is my favorite, and I only needed one coat! It lasts ages without chipping, also.
I LOVE Finger Paints! I'm wearing it right now I only needed one coat. It's SO colorful, and it hasn't chipped at all. This should be higher on the list.
Seriously, this is brand is so underrated! I actually prefer this over China Glaze. The color is so vibrant. With just one coat the color stands out!

The top coat is the best because it doesn't drag your polish like other brands. Definitely worth it!
I soooo love the Top Coat!!!.. I have tried many brands and find this one is the best
well... i use this every time i paint my nails and LOVE how quick it drys but it chips so easily!
their top coat is really nice and shiny, gives you that salon look, however after only 2 work shifts it starts to get dull.

I have used the Lasting Finish Pro and their Lycra-Wear, both fantastic. They wear like iron. I have had the Lasting Finish Pro on for THREE WEEKS and it still looks fabulous. It is superb polish.
The colors (that they DO make) are nice...my favorite is the red from the "I Love London" range, but I have found that the polish chips VERY easily and even with a few top coats, starts peeling very quickly. It's also quite difficult to apply in my opinion but on the other hand, it's a great price! Nice nail polish if you don't mind re-applying the next day.

Amazing brand and this is coming from a nail tech. Best base coat ever ever ever.
My second favorite brand. However they have a great base coat and a really fast drying top coat. Also what is great about it, it is the brush. SO EASY TO USE. it has double width. Great nail polish. and great price. In Canada it's around 13$ at shopper's drug mart. I went to Walgreens in Palm Beach, on sale for 2.19!
Borghese nail products are Salon quality, one of the best IMO. I love how their nail product is never "dehydrates" the nails after use & always have a very lovely shine, wears well, long lasting in its beauty & just beautiful to look at.
I do wish they add an array of more "bold" & "fun" colors.
Still. lovely polishes.

Unless you have a steel top coat, this brand is a complete waste of time. Sure, it has fun colors, and it's great for last minute events when you need polish to dry quickly, but if you want long-term wear, it's not worth the effort. There are plenty of other "drug-store" brands that last much longer and are just as cost effective.
great brush! easy to wear it on without uneven tone. dry fast but give you sufficient time to even it out.
i only have my polish on for a day, but it did chip on the tips!
not horrible, affordable high street brand, smooth application and chip resistant!

Superb color. 2 weeks on my nails and never chip. a lot of choice in color. fantastik.
very very good. But expensive 12.50 us for a bottle. But the bottle are so nice.

Goes on smooth sometimes a bit sheer and not the greatest color selection but it doesn't chip for days.

I love Milani nailpolish. They have great colors and seems to last okay, but not as OPI does. Even so, I still my Milani.
I love this brand. It does not take long to dry. As long as you have a good top coat everything is fine. And they have some really pretty colors =)
too expensive for a budget brand. not worth it. buy china glaze instead lol.
38.
At my Walgreens, you can buy them for 99 cents and they are very good quality (in my opinion better then Sally Hansen) and a very wild and good color selection.

After you've had it a while it tends to get very thick and globby.
Good while it's new, but after a while it gets goopy and uneasy to apply.

They have an amazing color selection, but It's really hard to apply. If you're really good at doing your nails go for it, but It's a pain to get on! It doesn't chip before 3 days, so I guess that's good. Like I said before, amazing colors, but for as much as they sell it for, might as well spend the extra buck on OPI..
