Paul Newman Report Abuse
I'll skip over his legendary performances in Cool Hand Luke and The Hustler as I'm sure you're all aware of these films already. For an unorthodox performance, check out Slapshot, were Newman steals the film by showing he's also a brilliant comedic actor.

Marlon Brando Report Abuse
Nobody was cooler, and nobody was able to convey more raw emotion than Brando. When properly motivated the man was a force of nature - he possessed an animal magnetism and power which dwarfed his contemporaries.

Gary Oldman Report Abuse
The quintessential acting chameleon, there's simply nothing this man can't do in the realm of acting. Who else could play a creepy Dracula, a subdued Commissioner Gordon and a deformed child molester in Hannibal? Oldman transforms himself so effortlessly one can barely tell his different roles are played by the same man.

Daniel Day Lewis Report Abuse
The man doesn't so much play a part as he completely disappears into a role. His portrayal of insane millionaire Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood is chilling and one's gets the feeling while watching the movie that Day-Lewis is one of the only actors who could pull it off.

Robert DeNiro Report Abuse
Everything knows he can play a mean gangster, but true DeNiro fans appreciate the man's stunning range and recognize his performances in This Boy's Life, Raging Bull and Cape Fear as some of his very best work.
