I had to memorise this in the eighth grade. It was my first encounter with Mr. Poe. If he were alive I would most definitely want to 'court' him :P
Also, I not people don't seem to know how to spell his name. It's Allan, not Allen. :)

Not normally a Poe fan, but I LOVE this one! It's one of my favorite poems ever, actually. Very poignant, especially when you realize it was the last poem he ever wrote, and after the death of his wife. It's like he knows he is about to "join her"...
