The other Thrust, driven by fellow British driver Richard Noble has the second fastest recorded speed of 633MPH. These cars are not IC engine cars and instead use rocket propulsion to achieve the speed.

The next American on the list is the spirit of America jet engine car. It is the fourth fastest on the list with a speed of approximately 600 MPH.

The fifth position also goes to another American car, the Green Monster. It touched a speed of 576 MPH in November 1965 to be the fastest ever for a period of 8 days, before the Spirit of America took away its crown.
