The only other Bee Gees song that comes close to this in terms of emotional value is "How Deep is Your Love". Absolutely underrated.

Bee Gees wrote it but gave it to Kenny and Dolly obviously who had the big original hit version but they also as we all know recorded it themselves . So therefore it can by by both but it is called a Bee Gees song becuase they wrote it so it is their work .
Islands was written as an R & B. Kenny Rogers had asked Barry for a song and he offered Islands. Kenny was trying it when Barry suggested that it needed Dolly. Barry has said that it shows how closely related R & B and Country music can be.
