Paws (Detroit Tigers)
Detroit went old school with their mascot and chose to use an actual animal, based on their team name. This decision was probably partly based on the fact that tigers are cool in general and make great mascots.

Baxter's one on one interaction is one of a kind and world class! My daughter and I were at the game in the upper level and baxter walked by heard my daughter scream for him, he turned around and made sure to waive to her. On his way back he even stopped by our seats a memory she will live with for the rest of her life!! Thank you baxter!

Mascots are supposed to make the fans happy, and no mascot does it better than The Swinging Friar. He's pudgy, he's happy-go-lucky, balding, and perpetually smiling. He's hard not to love.

Lefty and Righty (Boston Red Sox)
Lefty and Righty are big, red socks with arms and legs. What could be better than that? They're funny to watch, and they are actual representations of the team name, which is always nice.
