Hot Water Convenience or Hot Water Readiness Report Abuse
The cost of water is on the rise. The water and time wasted waiting for hot water to arrive at faucets and showers multiple times a day, everyday adds up more than you think. One person waiting 60 seconds for hot water one time per day adds up to 6 hours of total waiting per year. Most of us use hot water more than once per day. It's quit common for a sink in an upstairs master bath to take 2 or 3 minutes for hot water to arrive when the water heater is at the opposite end of the home. California requires that new homes be equipped with hot water circulation system or other suitable device to prevent wasting thousands of gallons of water each year. Homes with tankless water heaters may save on water heating cost but users still have to wait for hot water to travel from the heat source to the point of use. Hot water circulation systems have advanced over the years and do provide instant hot water at sinks and showers. Intelligent hot water circulation control is key to preventing high gas or electric water heating bills. Circulating hot water 24/7 through a homes pipes is far from efficient. Intelli-circ hot water circulation circulates hot water intermittently to maintain hot water readiness. These systems also provide single-cycle on-demand hot water circulation capabilities which eliminates to high cost associated with continuously circulating hot water through a homes pipes while still providing convenient hot water without wasting water.or time.
