i dont think this rank is because of the US armed forces, lets be realistic they are by far the best, however this may be so because it is dependent on foreign suppliers for resources and has a massive government, household and trade debt.

Iran only has an economy because it was lucky enough to have massive oil reserves. Due to the retrograde and retarding influence of Islam, in the last few hundred years Iran done very little to advance the world scientifically, culturally or technologically, instead relying on the West to develop ideas before begrudgingly and slowly adopting them for themselves.
I can't see Iran becoming a world power unless it changes its regime.

Ive read the history of Iran and i realized that the us gov blocked anything that the Iranian bought from the u.s. about 30 yrs ago when their regime changed by their folks
so it is all the reason why they hate u.s. !

but now they are standing on their own, and they have built many facilities like nuclear power that nobody helped them !

The biggest problem Iran has is their people. As we have all seen in the news of people getting squashed by their corrupt government with the recent elections not long ago.

Turkey is a strong candidate to be super power in the future world. Its strategic position with respect to geography enables Turkey to control all middle east. Turkey's strong relationship and common history with most nations in the middle east makes its domination acceptable for them. In addition, having very important petroleum pipe lines connecting Assia to Europe increases its weight on both middle east and Europe. Lastly but not least, Turkey's military power which is strongest across europe shows how this argument is rightful.
