IBM is the second largest software company in the world, ranked according to annual software revenues. They are the maker of the DB2 database (no 2 in the world), the zOS and the iOS operating systems, the WebSphere application server (no 1 in the world), Tivoli, Notes, Cognos, etc.... The company is often underestimated since they do not sell any highprofile consumer software (like Microsoft). Nevertheless, it is a huge software company.

According to the Software Top 100, this is the 4th largest software company in the world, ranked by software revenues (only Microsoft, IBM and Oracle are bigger).
