The Wicker Man

A bee helmet? Really? To his credit, Nicholas Cage delivered the lines, “Oh, No! Not the bees! Not the bees! Aaaaahhhhhh! Oh, they’re in my eyes! My eyes! Aaaaaaahhhhh! Aaaaaaahhhhhh!” without laughing, but that didn’t keep the audience from laughing.

Con Air

Nicholas Cage’s southern accent in this movie is truly laughable. He sounds a little like an even slower version of Forrest Gump. Plus, the scene with him and his daughter at the end of the movie is one of the most awkward in film history.

Ghost Rider

I wanted to like this movie; I really did. I’m a big fan of comic books, graphic novels, sci-fi, etc. But I just couldn’t get past Mr. Cage’s monotonous delivery of every line. It was funny for awhile, but eventually it became really irritating. Eva Mendes’ acting didn’t help this movie either.

The plot and premise of the movie are ridiculous, which would be forgivable if the “time warp” concept were handled in an interesting or fun way. There are far better movies out there dealing with the manipulation of time.

Bangkok Dangerous

An overly familiar plot (i.e., hitman who develops a conscience) paired with Cage’s almost lifeless delivery of his lines make this film not even remotely “dangerous” or worth watching.
