The same God who created the Earth and the Heavens who died on the cross for us! He sent the Holy Spirit after His ascension to live within us and walk us through life! Greatest influencer of all time, and I'm glad #1 wasn't a politician.
Jesus is the most influential person in the world... Who else can say follow me and have people drop everything... Forget their old lives and give everything they have to live out what he says? No one.
In my opinion no one has come near to Jesus Christ with respect to His influence on so many aspects of our world and society. Most schools of higher learning in the English speaking world and many in the non-English speaking world exist because of Christ. Women and children throughout this world, with the exception of a few countries have a much better way of life because of what Christ taught and people accepted
Sorry it would actually would probably be the year 2000 to the year 2015 somewhere in there.
Christianity is Thousands of years old its almost 2000 years old. It will celebrate its 2000s birthday 2044 or somewhere around there If my history is right.
I don't even believe in God and I know that Jesus is one of the Greatest men in History.
He is the Son of God and the messiah of Israel and the redeemer of mankind.
He is the prophet of islam who spreaded the message of allah all over the world, he taught peoples the way of life as allah wants, he taught about evrything ...he hd brighten the world with the light of truth...peace be upon isa ...amen!
Jesus is great but he is not god. He is saint who showed way of heaven and taught how to live life. I think in Christianity he is only saint thats why people worship him like God. If you see in other religions there are dozens of saint who are great than jesus.
It does not matter if you're religious or not, this is a list of influential people; Christianity has greatly influenced the world for thousands of years.
Hands down(or hands raised high)! Is and always will be protecting and guiding us all!
Everybody on this planet had to do with him one way or another. The big question is whether the biggest event with him is still to come!
Isaiah wrote 700 years before Christ about Christ (Is 53): “He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.”
Who was that man, who was the most influental in human history? Here are only a few biblical proofs that Jesus is God according to the Bible: Col 2,9: For in Christ dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily Col 1 15-17: (Christ) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Heb 1,8: But about the Son (Christ) he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a sceptre of justice will be the sceptre of your kingdom
1Joh 5,20: We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Joh 20,28: Thomas answered him (Christ), “My Lord and my God
Joh 10,33: The Jews answered him (Christ), “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
1Cor 3,23: and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God
Isaiah 9,6:“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon4 his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah lived many hundred years before Christ. He was a prophet who spoke of a child born who was also a “Mighty God”. This fits well for Jesus.
thats not what i asked for, they all imply the greatness of this man none of which say he is god. i asked for an explicit statement that says jesus is god and/or jesus should be worshipped. surely that shouldnt be too hard to find if thats the main message of christianity
read it. not there. if u say it is then can u reference it??
Jesus Christ is man and God in one. He was influental in his time and since two thousand years he is still most influental for most of humankind. It is stupid to negate that. But the most important thing is, that he will also be most influental the next two thousand years.
did anyone notice that the whole world counts the years AC or BC, after Christs birth and before Christs birth. If you like Jesus or not, he is the most influental people on the world because billions of people since two thousand years are and were "followers" of him (or at least said and say ist). And even Billions of Muslims are influenced by him, he is a great prophet for muslims. And atheists all arpund the world deal with him, because they reject him. Everybody has heard from him, everybody hears aboput him at school, everybody has a church seen or a cross and and and. This discussion is really useless, of course he is by far the most influental man. Like it or not.
I'd like to know who arollison is? If this list is a measure of influence, how did he measure this influence? Evidently not by the number of believers - the measures of knowledge or modern day sciences spawned from ideas of historical figures. Did they look this up on Google? Or is it personal opinion??
Even if he was not "real" he has influenced more people than anyone, ever. Even if he does not exist (not saying he doesnt) he is still on this list as inspirational. This isnt a list of most inspirational 'real' people, it is a list of most inprisational people period.
He and St. Peter will also have influence in the next life unlike others listed here.
in allahs eyes
all messangers and prophets are one thats why god choose them as its repersentives on earth
why moh is more popular becasue on earth he told the truth about jesus, moses and he filled the final chapter of allahs revelation (for the record once i mention one of gods repersetive i will be sayiing all of them
as the qurans love all gods repersentive
I don't get atheists, they say we theists should provide proof on the existence of God (Allah/Jehovah/Yahweh/etc.) so that they could believe. Well first of all in order to believe you must have faith which clearly atheists lack! So why do some persuade us to revoke our beliefs? It's like trying to make a believer out of an atheist. It simply isn't possible. The day we theists throw away our belief is the day when atheists believe in God.
Whether you believe in his divinity or not, as a HUMAN (not as "The Son of God"), he taught us the true philosophy of life. Even though the Vatican screwed up in the past killing innocent people for their so called "conversion of Gentiles", "witch hunts", etc., we can't deny the fact that His teachings were, and are still very true. You don't have to believe in Him as divine but as a man, he definitely knew more about living than anyone else in history. Also, throughout the course of history, many people defended and died just to preserve his legacy ~ 2000 years and counting in fact!
I'm not religious, but I have to admit this man is very influential.. He has caused so many deaths and world events.
with all of these applaud on one side and sophistry on the other, isn't it just as if we share an intensive zeal cast for or against him of this very object of controversy?, even they who posted him number 1 couldn't do it otherwise, why? perhaps the heart no matter where it took its religious and moral abode, seems unintentionally familiar and acquainted with this man always, that it could tell undeniably that this nice person(either deity or mortal) exudes intelligence far greater than them all. . .
Since you guys have been arguing about Jesus and Muhammad,I would like put it this way.So far as Muslims and Christains,we all should come to a common understanding that both Jesus and Muhammad are the messanger sent by God/Jehova in Christain or Allah in Islam. Thus, its no good trying to put which should be first coz They both performed the same job which was assigned to them by GOD HIMSELF..And it can be assumed that in one way or another we worshiping the same GOD...Am I right?.. And since we've been worshiping the same GOD,let us all (both Islam and Cristians) put GOD first, the # 1.
According to Jewish historian Falvius Josephus, Jesus was a real historical person, a teacher, a worker of miracles, and gathered a band of followers who continued to follow him after his death.
Did you know that Jesus Christ is considered Islam’s Greatest Prophet and Messenger
Everyone takes a shot at Christians, but no one dares say a bad word against Muhammad.
Regardless if Jesus is real or not his words influence the heart and mind of all religions .... Jesus is quoted more than Mohamed in the Quran ... And Mohamed don't even make it close who ever said that... Mohamed was just a regular illiterate... Jesus is studied by hindus Buddhists muslims catholics Christians ... And theologians ... Even in the law of one, ra spends a considerable amount on answering questions about jesus and all his aliases ... I don't know nothing about if Jesus was fiction or not but I find his words enlightening and powerful... I'm not a Christian or muslim either... I just respect the mind and the power of the potential of it.... For sure Jesus is top 5
As Muslim i Love Jesus (PBUH) ,Jesus was the Beloved prophet of God.
He was the only the best in his time,
I love him alot.
Both Nikola Tesla and Einstein were Christians. Go figure! Whether you would put Him at number one or not, they sure would have. You will all know Him soon. I pray soon enough.
I feel sorry for anyone who hates, belittles, or downright criticizes Jesus for what He did. In the words of the Messiah, "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do". Luke 23:34
Socrates and Buddha did the same things that Jesus did.
And Jesus was not the first martyr.
He has done nothing practical to benefit any of us living today. Einstein & Tesla deserve no. 1 spot.
jesus was just a very persuasive cult leader...look at the facts. 1 you drink the body and blood of christ. 2. he walked on water. 3 he could cause the blind to see. 4 he spoke to a man in the sky and addressed him as "father". and you people call cults crazy lol
if you truly believe that jesus is real ok thats fine. but he contributed nothing as an individual himself. how can anyone, that is sane, put jesus above nikola tesla. It's people like you and the ignorance you bring that caused our world to be tainted.
Come on people its the 21st century, surely we are intelligent enough to move on from fairy tales. Jesus was just a story to get kids to go to bed 2000 years ago.
I like to live in this, either as a myth or a truth people can argue, He is the true friend who was willing to die for the lost stranger like me.
The best of the best of the best! Love your fellow person know matter where they are in life. Teach all people about Jesus the Christ. He Is By Far NUMBER ONE!.
Totally the most influential person ever. Whether your a believer or a non believer. Jesus Christ changed the world. A famous writer once stated Jesus Christ is either a liar, crazy or is Lord. He is LORD .
Albert Einstein, jeez i could think about tons of other people, but Jesus Deserves the No.1 Spot, the throne
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today." 'Jesus Christ'
This is just 1 of the hundreds of great quotes form the true Legend, you cant Deny.
To The Haters:
Get Your Facts Straight:
# Christianity: 2.1 billion
# Islam: 1.5 billion
# Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist: 1.1 billion
# Hinduism: 900 million
# Chinese traditional religion: 394 million
# Buddhism: 376 million
# primal-indigenous: 300 million
# African Traditional & Diasporic: 100 million
# Sikhism: 23 million
Jesus was the most influential person in the history of the world, look at the population of religion, Christianity is leading by far ahead of Islam. Isnt That proof for ya!
Why dn't you guys rad the Bible and you will find the good news. Jesus Christ who saved us all. Muhhamad may be a prophet of the true God but he did not include Jesus. Just like Jesus he existed but he did not deliver the truth.
Even if Jesus was not the Messiah, his influence is still vaster than anyone elses for misleading billions of people. Thus, you can't say that because you don't believe in him he wasn't influential.
As a non-Christian I am not stupid enough to say Jesus never existed but I am entirely sure that Jesus was far from the most influential person of all time. Few known roman writers ever wrote or even confirmed Jesus`s existence so the influence you claim comes from Jesus actually comes from the ideology and morals of the Jewish/Christians who wrote the new testament. The Christian ideals originated from the older Jewish religion and Plato’s philosophies from which the idea of a soul comes from so I wouldn’t credit Jesus too much for his moral teachings as they were already common at the time (Except for the anti-capitalist thoughts). If you were to credit anybody for your religion I would rather credit Constantine for stopping the official persecution of Christians, converting his vast empire and further spreading the Christian faith.
Baseless. Jesus was an ordinary person who preached his own morals. Only posthumously was he given the status of God (or God's messenger) by the Catholic Church that used his name to expand its influence on the world.
The question is who are Most Influential People of All Time (if Jesus is a God then how he is listed among people)
And pigs fly.
In all seriousness, though, this IS the list of the most influential people of all time, and he IS pretty influential o-o
Ummm shouldn't the most influencial person of all time be someone that actually existed and not some character out of your storybook(The Bible)?
Mohammed is No.1. Plz think people! his instructions are the for 1400 year.
I have been searching for the ten most influential people who ever live. I find it difficult to believe that in all of the lists I have reviewed, Jesus Christ comes no closer than third. I would have thought that he might have been given a top spot somewhere. How people like Einstein, Hitler, Columbus take priority is unbelievable.
That was god who helped Moses not Jesus, ther is a difference.

He can be seen as the founder of the Christian church because Jesus taught him so whereas he taught the 12 apostles to preach to the people of Israel about the kingdom of God. Paul had to send the message to the nations to build up something totally new. Paul is read in millions of homes every evening. Therefore he should be second on the list of the most influental people.
Paukl was writing in his epistles a lot about -mysteries - although he expressed what these miracles are. They were facts about God an mankind before not revealed, but now to Paul. Therefore he is one of the most influental man for the Christian part of mankind. He should be numver 2.
Paul was revealing that all mankind will once be united in God in his epistle to the Collosians: “ For in Christ all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Even most Christians do ignore “all things”. Even Muslims and Roman Catholics! Good news!
Paul taught that Israel will be totally restored: (Romans 11,15-26) "!Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob."
Paul was the preacher of love:
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,1 but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Saint Paul should be just behind Jesus. Paul developed Christian theology.

Ther gospel of John is very different to the gospels of Mark, Luke and Mathew, giving many important details about the relationship between God and Christ. In addition John wrote the book of Revelation which depicts the things to come in future. This book is very actual and is going to be even more actual as it seems.
John was an eye witness of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He also wrote that Jesus was God and Creator of all things:“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Luke was a great historian. Astonishingly in his Bible books he does not go into detail about the teachings of Paul although he was his companion travelling a long time with him. He only wants to report the things that happen and not teach doctrines. This makles his works reliable.
Luke wroet one of 4 reports about the life of Jesus. he also wrote the acts of the Apostles, the story of the uprise of Christianity in the frist century. He was a remarkable historian, since it turned out that all his details about persons, places and times are correct.
5.
God chose Him to be Jesus's disciple. He was a humble fisherman and yet God chose to write three of the books in the New Testament through him. We know of the Savior of the World in part through him.

It is ironical too that Peter got the patron of the Roman church although he was the evangelist for the Jews. The Roman Catholic church had for many hundreds of years a bad position to the Jews and even proclaimed crusades for them. Most nazis were catholics, especially those who were in charge of the Holocaust.
Peter said in his first sermon to the public in Jerusalem (Acts 2): Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know—this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. ... This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.” This was the very start of the Christian church. Therefore Peter was very influental.
Peter was an eye witness about the events around Jesus. He said in 2 Pet 1,16-19: For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son,9 with whom I am well pleased,” we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Peters relation with Rome was this: he named it with the siginficant code name "Babylon" as the mother town of all abomination. He was far from being s.th like a pope, because the word pope comes from "father" and Peter knew well that Jesus had said (Mt 23,9): " And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven."
Peter was never a Pope. The first Pope lived in the 4th century.
Jesus Christ chose him. Also, he is the first pope.

The Prophet Isaiah wrote 700 years before Christ about the coming of Christ. Since the book of Isaiah was found in Qumran in 1947, the manuscript being more than 2000 years old, it was proven that the Bible we had till then was word by word identical with what the tradition brought to our times. This showed that there was in the Bible never a change. Therefore Jews and Christians have proved to be reliable preservers of their holy book.

According to the Bible, Matthew (Not Mathew) was an Apostle (not an Apostel) and was one of Christ's twelve disciples, and one of four Evangelists. He was one of the few who witnessed both Christ's resurrection and His ascension.. Before being called by Christ to be a disciple, Matthew collected taxes from the Hebrew people for Herod. Once called by Jesus the Nazarene, Matthew invited Jesus to his home for a feast. Upon seeing this, the scribes and the Pharisees criticized Christ for eating with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus replied “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17)
Mathew is the author of the world famous sermon on the mount which starts like this in Mt 5, 1-12:“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

From Mark we knew that Jesus had brothers: Mk3, 31-32: And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.”Hundred Millions of people believe that what Mark wrote was right. And they orientate their lives to it. Since two thousand years uncounted numbers of people believe in his gospel. Like it or not. He is one of the most influental man in human history. If the share -ranks administration is deleting this coment it shows that they do not accept the voice of millions due to anti-christian censorship

Daniel was a great prophet who lived 500 years before Chrst. Why is he so influental? Because he made a prophecy about Christ. He foretold the coming of Christ in the first century and the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple of the Jews soon after. Christ was crucified in the year 30 and Jerusalem and trhe temple were destroyed from the Romans in the year 70. This is the biblical proof that Jesus was the Messiah (Dan 9): “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince (Jesus Christ) shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince (Roman general Titus who was not yet emperor) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.”

He defeated the ennemies of Israel 3 thousand years ago and lai the foundation for the everlasting state of Israel. He was the darling of God JHWH. he was a great poet. His pslams are read daily of millions of people around the world. He is the great man of all Israelis since 3 thousand years. He wrote parts of the Bible.

Still doubtfull if he ever existed at all and if so, if he achieved what bible says...
Few men in the world's history have achieved as much as David. The molding of Israel into a nation is exclusively his work, for he was the first to unify what until then had been merely a conglomerate of clans and tribes; and Israel remained one nation even after the division of David's single kingdom.
From King David is the world famous Psalm 23 which goes: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name' sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever

The student of music need not read far before encountering the passionate assertion that Johann Sebastian Bach was probably the greatest composer who ever lived. Such ardorous declarations might well be excused as author's bias were they not so prevalent in the literature--not to mention, proposed with such fervor--at least to elevate the proposition to a reasoned debate
His music is played in hundred thousand of churches all around the world daily. And this since 400 years.
Classic music from the 18th century and church music in which God and Jesus Christ is praised is not in the mood of everybody. But anybody who goes into this music will find an incredible richness in melody and forms. It is almost as if this man was a creation for exactly what he did. It is as if God himself formed his brains. He is the perfect example of a genius.

Started the Protestant Reformation by nailing his 95 Theses to a church door, challenging the authority of the pope and bringing Catholicism back to its true purpose: the worship of God.

Lurther had his mistakes. He was also a child of his age. But all the more he began a new age. The
renaissance did not begin in Italy with Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo because they were children of the Vatican. The freedom of religion and thinking and science began with Luther. He opened the box of modern times. He broke the blind dominance of Rome to the benefit not only of Christianity but also for the whole western world.
One of the most influental man in history. With Luthe the modern times began. Do not believe the religion blindly. Use your own reason.
He should probably be a bit higher on the list... after all, he WAS the father of the civil rights movement, even if he didn't start it
Without Martin Luther the world would be totally different. We had only totalitarian systems, no democracy. No freedom of rights, no human rights. With Martin Luther the dark middle ages stopped.
He said: Be a sinner and sin strongly, but more strongly have faith and rejoice in Christ.
Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree
Faith is a living, daring confidence in God's grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times
he gave the German people the Bible in German. By that he gave them a common language, because the Germans are divided in different tribes. He stood at first alone against the Roman Catholic church. This had a worldwide impact, because the message of the Bible was grossly falsified by the Catholics.
This list contains a lot of people who have changed the way we look at science, made advances in technology and fueled our desire to learn more about our history/environment and future. But the true influential people are those that have changed the course of HUMANITY, not humans and this man deserves to be a lot higher. His actions, belief, and faith not only changed the biggest religion on earth, but the way he did it, his courage and determination will influence people for many, many years to come in giving them the same determination to change the world for the better

Fotr Christians and Jews it does not matter what the Quran says, because the quran was written 2 thousand years after Moses lived. The five first books of the Bible are written by Moses, 2 thousand years before Muhammad. Muhammad took a lot wrong because he could not read the Hebrew Bible.
quran surah 2 ayat
136 Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the Prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.
A fictional "character". There is no proof that he ever existed.
Jewism is one of smallest religion in the world.
i think Jesus Should be on Top Level.

Man i really hate the people that cant enjoy this kind of music.. For me this piece is like a dream i cant understand why some poor intellectual people compare this genius with that little person of justin ..
It's funny when people argue about things that shouldn't even be in the same conversation. Like Justin Bieber and Beethoven. I mean I could understand if you guys were arguing about Mozart and Beethoven but damn, this is sad. That you morons would even compare the Biebs' to someone as great as Beethoven. Sure he's popular now but the guy will be forgotten. Beethoven's legacy will actually surpass that of Justin Bieber. I mean to compare a snobby little brat to a man who COMPOSED music at 12 smh
When he was deaf, he still could create one of the greatest music and human achievement ever, Beethoven Symphony no.9!
When he deaf, he still could made over 200 piece of musics! All of them are outstanding and hard!
He really does show, that anything is possible, even when you want to give up. Give it a go. He did. And Now, he enjoys the beauty of his work. A true musical Hero.
If Beethoven symphonies are not heaven, what can we expect from heaven?
The Japanese have totally different tradition in music. But even they are big fans of the music of Beethoven. Guess why!
hell yeah, he became blind and kept on going, that my friend is determination, something we all need.

Interestingly the German Jew Herzl was the architect of what the German (and Austrian) nazis gave the last decisive impuls. Build a homestate for Israel.
So it was the German Jew Herzl who laid the foundation of the modern state of Israel! The Germans and Israel should celebrate this together!
I am starting to notice that most of the people on this list have some kind of religious significance, or at least was affiliated with a religion... but I haven't gotten down to the very bottom of the list yet
ironically, if Germany would have won WW I, the Jews would have had Israel much earlier and their would have been no Holocaust. And possibly we would have more peace in the Middle East.
Why do you say that Herzl is responsible for that we have now the state of Israel. He was nothing but an instrument of God. Because it was God who gave the Jews their land back. read it in the Bible. It was prophesied there 3 thousand years ago already. he aaid that he would scatter them because of their disobedeince but in the right time he will gather them together. You can read it in 5. Mose 4,27 and many other places in the Old Testament.
The German Kaiser Wilhelm II promised him a much bigger land for his state Israel, because he was a Protestant Christian and believed in the people of Israel as God`s people. But the Germans who were allies of the Osmans lost WWI and the British who were in control over the Middle East offered the Jews only a portion which became Israel in 1948. A bigger Israel would have nullified the Palestine problem. And there would have been peace and not the constant threat of war in the Middle East.
Very important man for world history because he paved the way for the modern state of Israel, Israel being the most influental country in the world!
The German Jew Herzl was decisive in the work to prepare the awarenenn for a own Jewish state in their former homeland. Around 1907 he foresaw that in 40 years this would happen. And indeed he was right.

Invented the printing press, perhaps one of the most influential inventions ever. We still feel the impact of his invention today in so many fields.
Comments:
Gutenberg could only be so succesful because Luther had paved the way to freedom in thinking. From thence freedom of press is not far away. Gutenberg and Luther - no accidence that they came in the right time! It was high time.
I think he should be up near the top... without his invention, most people wouldn't have their precious religious texts and the only people who would actually have a book would be churches and the extremely wealthy. Without his very important invention, we would not know about Jesus Christ, God, Muhammad, even Albert Einstein! He needs to be higher on the list simply because the impact of those who are at the top of this list now would have hardly any impact without him
Ok how is he not #1! He's the only reason we have books and even the internet!
Sure, if he would not have invented the printing press, somebody esle would have done it. But it was him. So he is to blame. Another point is this: without him the reformation would not have been possible, because the reformation could only be successful when many people could read the Bible which was before Gutenberg not possible. Luther and Gutenberg where the architects of modern Europe although they had no idea of this.
Everything the Chinese have invented! Yes, yes, even the TV 2 thousand years ago and the car 3 thousand yeasr ago. I myself lived 4 thousand years ago and invented the bglib. This will be invented again next year. You will see.
It seems that Gutenberg was a unique inventor by providence. Be it as it may be, he started the development of the modern world. Like it or not. If you think about it, you cannot escape this conclusion
One of the most important invention and man in the world history !
The Chinese had movable type first, but Gutenburg modernized it and made it availible to the European world.
It's not that he invented the printing press, it's that he invented Movable Type. This allowed printers the ability to quickly, easily, and cheaply re-use letters without having to re-engrave an entire book.
The Chinese had invented printing presses long before Johannes Gutenberg.

Konrad Zuse was a German civil engineer, inventor and computer pioneer. His greatest achievement was the world's first functional program-controlled Turing-complete computer, the Z3, which became operational in May 1941.
Zuse was also noted for the S2 computing machine, considered the first process-controlled computer. He founded one of the earliest computer businesses in 1941, producing the Z4, which became the world's first commercial computer. From 1943 to 1945 he designed the first high-level programming language, Plankalkül. In 1969, Zuse suggested the concept of a computation-based universe in his book Rechnender Raum (Calculating Space).
In Millions of household and millions of firms his achievements are used. Modern life without computers on the basis of Zuses endeavour would not be possible.

Jeremiah is regarded as the second of the major prophets.During the siege of Jerusalem, when it was finally obvious that Jeremiah’s prophecies of disaster would be fulfilled and that destruction and exile were imminent, God was telling Jeremiah that the nation would eventually be restored and that houses and fields would once again be bought in the land. This happened since 1948.

The Prophet Malachi (not Maleachi) and the Book of Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. Its Hebrew meaning is simply "My (God's) Messenger." The book of Malachi was written to correct the lax religious and social behavior of the Israelites, particularly the priests, in post-exilic Jerusalem. Although the prophets urged the people of Judah and Israel to see their exile as punishment for failing to uphold their covenant with Elohim, it was not long after they had been restored to the land and to Temple worship that the people's commitment to their God began, once again, to wane. It was in this context that the prophet commonly referred to as Malachi delivered his prophecy.

Isaac Newton is by far the most influential. Whoever made this list is retarted.
i wouldnt say that calculus is that important to all but engineers and physicists. Honestly, algebra or geometry were probably more important.
However, i think that his strides in science alone were enough to put him in the top ten.
Yeah, Newton pretty much invented physics as we know it, and he co-founded calculus; the most useful ind of maths.
With out the findings of Newton ... Einstein wouldnt have completed theory if e=mc2
So in my point of view Newton should be rank higher than Einstein
Newton has done more for the fields of science than anyone in history. This man should be #1 (or at least #2).

Odometer
Franklin was curious as to how far he was traveling by carriage, in his role as postmaster, for his travels between Philadelphia and Boston.
While the concept of the odometer dates back to ancient times, Franklin did create his own version. The concept was to attach the device near the wheels of a carriage, determine the circumferance of the wheel and the number of revolutions required to travel a mile, and have the device register the distance traveled.
Flexible Urinary Catheter
In Franklin's day, catheters (tubes inserted through the urethra into the bladder to drain urine from the body) were rigid and quite painful. Franklin devised a catheter with a flexible tube. John, Ben's older brother, suffered from kidney stones, and so Ben found a way to ease some of the disconfort for his brother.
Swim Fins
Benjamin Franklin was an avid swimmer from a very young age. Throughout his life he consistently promoted its healthful benefits. At the ripe old age of 11 he invented a pair of swim fins. However, unlike today's foot flippers, these were attached to one's hands. His advocacy for swimming was recognized by his induction into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1968.
In colonial America, homes were warmed by a fireplace. The Franklin stove, invented in 1742, is a metal-lined fireplace that stands in the middle of a room. It has rear baffles for improved airflow. It provides more heat and less smoke than an open fireplace and uses less wood. This cast-iron furnace would radiate heat from the middle of the room in all directions, and the iron walls even absorbed heat, providing warmth to the room long after the fire went out.
Mapping the Gulf Stream
Franklin made eight voyages across the Atlantic Ocean (or, as it was known then, the Western Ocean) between the Colonies and Europe. He wondered why journeys eastward were faster than return trips. His curiosity led him to be the first to map the Gulf Stream. The Gulf Stream, along with the North Atlantic Drift, is the ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico, exits through the Strait of Florida, and follows the eastern coastlines of the United States and Newfoundland before crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
invented the lightning rod-Once Franklin had an understanding of the behavior of electricity, he set about to protect houses from the destructive forces of lightning. A lightning rod, simply, is a rod attached to the top of a building, connected to the ground through a wire. The electric charge from lightning strikes the rod and the charge is conducted harmlessly into the ground. This protects houses from burning down and people from electrocution.
Franklin did not, of course, invent electricity, but he discovered many things about it, previously not understood.

Copernicus is surely ahead of Galileo who became more famous because of his contest with the Catholic church. But ahead of Copernicus is Johannes Kepler. Just ask an astronomer. he will tell you that Kepler set Copernicus right.
His name was Nikolaus Kopernikus, but his fathers and birth name was Nikolaus Koppernigk, since he was teh son of a wealthy German merchand who lived in Thorn, which was a town of the German Hanse. His mother was also of german decendance, Barbara Watzenrode. Thorn left in the 30-years war the German Order and became part of Prussia which had subjugated to the King of Poland for protection. Comments:
By far, the main person responsible for making Hell eternal in the Western Church was Augustine (354-430 CE). He did not know Greek, had tried to study it, but stated that he hated it. Sadly, it is his misunderstanding of Greek that cemented the concept of Eternal Hell in the Western Church . Augustine not only said that Hell was eternal for the wicked but also for anyone who wasn't a Christian. So complete was his concept of God's exclusion of non-Christians that he considered un-baptized babies as damned; when these babies died, Augustine softened slightly to declare that they would be sent to the "upper level" of Hell. Augustine acknowledged the Universalists whom he called "tender-hearted," and included them among the "orthodox."
