Comments:
Remember there are two sides to every story and often times groups involved in these conversations can be painted with broad brush that isn't exactly accurate in such an emotional topic

Politics Report Abuse
Whether you’re a republican, democrat, or independent; you definitely want to steer away from this conversation. Again, you’re disagreeing with a belief, and it’s very easy to do with politicians. No one can ever be right or wrong, so it’s better to avoid it all together.

Religion Report Abuse
There are so many different types all relating to the same topic. This can cause an argument, or even worse, a disruption in the “team-player” atmosphere. Disagreeing with someone’s belief can cause massive issues in the workplace.

Abortion Report Abuse
Ever wonder if our coworker is prochoice or prolife? Well, don’t ask. This is such a sensitive topic (that can lead to the politics conversation). Besides, you don’t want to discuss this, give your beliefs, and find out that one of your coworkers has had to experience this. Better to disregard this topic.

Sex Report Abuse
Yes, everyone’s favorite topic; but best left out of the workplace. To discuss your sexual escapades can make many people feel uncomfortable. Not to mention, people tend to judge and you do not want the wrong judgment passed. Not to mention, you will not have a very good reputation in being professional. Save it for drinks afterwards.

Pay/Salary Report Abuse
Especially in a big corporation, it is unprofessional to discuss the amount you make or how you did on your review. This can cause many issues at work, especially for the person who has worked there longer and making less money than others. It’s frowned upon by the bosses and clearly shows lack of trust as an employee.
