The Pale Catshark at 8.27 is the smallest shark in the world Report Abuse
The Pale Catshark is a rare cat shark of the Scyliorhinidae family and only specimen found on the Makassar Strait. At maaturity this shark only measures in at 8.27 inches making it the smallest shark in the world.

The Shortail lantern Shark is from the sleeper sharks family and found in saltwaters up to 8300 feet deep. At maturity they reach a length of only 9.4 inches.
