The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die Report Abuse
This debut album from The Notorious B.I.G. was released in September, 1994. This album was partly biographical which made the tracks so easy to relate to. This album is still a favorite of many hip hop fans, over 15 years after its original release.

To me B.I.G. was the greatest lyricist ever, if you list to him he doesn't use the same words in different songs over and over. that what makes him the greatest even though he was not my favorite.

This was the debut album of Wu-Tang Clan which was released in November of 1993. The music on this album created a blueprint for many hip hop artists to come.

After leaving N.W.A. Ice Cube as young as he was a lyricist of many styles and he proved it in this album, he was what every young african american or inner city male was looked at as. the content and the lyrics on EVERY track on this album could be understood and related to, and the beats where so extreme persons that I know who listened to rock-n-roll even loved it, I guess what I'm trying' to say is this is the most versitile album I've ever herd and that what makes it #1.
