Very popular. It broadcasts tons of good songs.

I would imagine music from the 1990s and even 2000s as time moves on as well as hits from say the 1960s.

BBC Radio 4 Report Abuse
There is a programme called You & Yours which is a phone-in programme covering many subjects from travel to apprenticeship to sport. In 2017, an uncomfortable subject, harrassment, pretty much anytime, anywhere, any place, let alone in the workplace. I thought it was going to be a female related issue, start to finish but the presenter challenged the guest that men can also suffer harrassment as well making this long old issue universal, across the board. Furthermore, a male caller talked about his humiliation (harrassment), from his own experience. Well done to him for putting his point across, spreading the word, as I said, universal, regardless of any characteristic of a human being (religion, gender, background, etc).

BBC Radio 5 Live Report Abuse
There was a hourly phone-in called 'Your Call'. An example of this was in 2012, a discussion on the report into the previous year's riots that took place across the United Kingdom including London, Hackney being one of the boroughs affected. The last caller for me, a former teacher who lived in Malta mentioned a previous riot in the United Kingdom. He mentioned parents, schools but it is general society eroding in terms of morals, standards, materialistic, please/thank you, queueing, etc. Of course, this was eight years before the pandemic changed most of our lives, perhaps changing for a better world.

A classic phone-in post pandemic, the state of schools from 2023 presented by Nicky Campbell who at this point had presented his own self titled show. A caller named Tony summed it up for me and he has also investigated schools overseas compared to the United Kingdom from his own experience. There will always be problems and solutions in life, generally be it schools, work, travel, shopping, etc.

I have listened to phone-ins on BBC Radio 5 Live and here is another. A clip regarding a caller named Graham, a carer from Manchester putting his point across on the welfare system and his situation at the time.

The previous riot I mentioned above was back in the 1980s.

LBC Report Abuse
Based at London's Leicester Square that was launched in 1973. Examples of phone ins, 2021, Pen Farthing, animals, humans and a chartered plane. The sheer amount of female callers talking nonsense, acting like teenagers or children (who usually make good points in many subjects) was staggering. Of course, it happens universally, (men and women from all walks of life). Darren's call on immigration in 2024 was probably the best thing ever heard on a phone in.

A classic phone-in from October 2025. It was a topic about vets and there were some good calls particularly the last one named Sarah. One example in her point was a lady spent twenty seven thousand pounds on an animal. Rip Off Britain, I believe there is a self titled programme about consumer related issues.

I have listened to phone ins particularly LBC over the years. You get the best and worst of callers and also the not so sure callers. Lately, a female caller talked about in regards as to who will be the next leader of the United Kingdom and said probably the most ridiculous thing ever heard on a phone in. I have heard male callers say things like that and I have heard female callers say nonsensical things, too. Human beings, best and worst of times, depending on experiences and situations. Nothing new or shocking to me. I used to behave appalingly be it child, teenager, even in adult life but there is always room for improvement, going forward, learning lessons, being open.

Another programme from LBC during CO-VID I can remember from 2020. Hashi Mohamed being interviewed by Iain Dale (presenter) and his incredible story from being a child in a different country to where he was at the time, a barrister. As of 2026, he is still a barrister. I must not mention the callers, good ones, too including Yusuf from Newport, Wales. As good as Darren's call on immigration four years after it. Found a calling meaning living a fulfilled life, self belief, being happy.

Perhaps, the most compelling contributor I ever heard was from 2013 on LBC whether there are two sides to domestic abuse. A nineteen year old named Poppy believed that there were two sides to it. She mentioned the line: 'When two individuals are evenly matched' putting her point across to the radio presenter. I imagine the scenario: Two individuals. If one struck the first blow, he/she is responsible, no question about it. Now, at this point, the individual on the receiving end of an assault has a choice, to walk away from a situation or to retaliate. In Poppy's case, she did the latter with words (She wound her partner up and it annoyed him) so therefore, she is also responsible just as the person who put his hands on her first. It is a sign of immaturity and weakness on their parts. Words can just be as powerful as any form of weapon be it hands, feet, any part of the body. If Poppy walked away from the situation, she would have given herself a pat on the back because her health, strength, safety and self esteem is far more important. Some of the contributions thought she was a victim, one of them suggested she needed help. She did not need help and she was not a victim. I can now say that domestic violence is something done by humans.

In reference to the male caller, putting his point across about Bonnie Blue to Shelagh Fogarty, LBC presenter in 2025, I am thining of another one, pre-pandemic. Another presenter, I am sure it was James O'Brien (perhaps the most popular of the LBC presenters after all the years he has done) did a phone in on female criminals, why society is still shocked when a woman commit a crime/crimes and I think tthe lady caller mentioned the phrase 'mad rather than bad', in other words society sees a woman committing a crime less harmful than if a man did it rather than a universal thing, committing a crime regardless of who it is (individual) and of course investigation, questioning, court case that often leads to a conviction. Same thing here with Bonnie Blue and Andrew Tate. I was also thinking about an ITV programme called 'Man-O-Man from the 1990s which is on a par with Jim'll Fix It or the recent reality shows like Big Brother. For me, the worst programme in all the years I have watched programmes since 1981. I bet there was the female equivalent of the former Chris Tarrant (presenter) programme.

In regards to Bonnie Blue and of course Andrew Tate for which LBC did a report on it one day in 2025, these are two degenerate individuals. However, they are adults. Every decision has a consequence. They will regret their decisions as well as the good, same for all of us including me.

Another classic phone in, this time from 2022. A study found that forty-four percent, in other words, nearly half of all teachers were looking to leave the profession. The last two callers of the hour. First one, obvious, behaviour, behaviour, behaviour, taking inspiration from a quote made by the then prime minister Tony Blair during the late 1990s. It was education, education, education. Bad behaviour not just from children but adults, too be it staff including teachers (there have been cases of it) and parents, general society. The final caller from Spain said about his experience of education in an European country. One point he made was if a lesson is done in sixty minutes, it is done on time, completely different to British education where paperwork and bureaucracy gets in the way, therefore, the lesson is far longer than sixty minutes.

A rare call I seem to remember pre-pandemic, there have been many over various subjects. One caller who went to prison and had a job since revealed an eyeopener: Being violent is in everybody. Individuals who have never been in trouble up to a point can behave aggressively and do wrong things, things that normal everyday human beings can easily resolve. Maybe he/she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. That is humanity for you. It is not just individuals who have been to prison be it as recently as six months ago or sixty-six months ago.

Another call I can remember from the pandemic. A gentleman called up, a bulk driver who gets rid of items such as furniture and other things, waste, etc for the council. His mother I would imagine got CO-VID so he negotiated with his employer to have time off to look after her with which he did numerous times. The result, he was sacked and his employer did not care. He did get a ray of light when called into the 'Legal Hour' programme a week later and got advice from top employment lawyer, Daniel Barnett.

Another phone-in I can remember from the pandemic. One caller mentioned about the different types of occupations i.e police officer, ambulance workers, carers, etc in terms of priority in taking the vaccine. I would not like to be prime minister and accept that everybody regardless plays a part, as one, as a country, for you, for me, the greater good. One of the later callers talked about inquiries such as Hillsborough, Sheffield since the 1989 tragedy, Grenfell in London since 2017 and the Stephen Lawrence one since the individual's tragic death in Eltham, London in 1993. Obviously, the pandemic has lost thousands of lives as well as those that have survived and restored lives.

A presenter named Daniel Barnett from Outer Temple Chambers presents his 'Legal Hour' programme, I thnk every Saturday, taking calls on anything legal, laws, companies, consumers, human rights, etc. Obviously, the pandemic of 2020 affected many, many individuals be it redundancies or the word 'furloughed', quite simply, having time off while getting paid before returning to work or applying for anotther field or differentt location of work.

Another classic phone-in during the pandemic from 2020. It was about further education, university in particular. There were some great calls incluuding one from Poland I believe who told of his account very well, speaking in clear English. But I will never forget the Nigerian caller from Brentwood, Greater London. He had two siblings, one went to university, the other in financial services. HHis background growing up since the day he was born, both his parents did not go to university, I think his father was an accountant, the caller refused to follow in his footsteps and decided to go another path in his life. Went to university, met fifty three doctors in the United States, he lived life to the full, enjoyed and made a success of it. Became a doctor, epidemiologist and a statistician. University is a way of life, he must have said it six times.

Of course, LBC is available on Youtube, I suppose spreading the message to all platforms like many other companies do. For example, in 2025, Bonnie Blue and her behaviour towards other individuals. Presenter Shelagh Fogarty did not like what the male caller said about the rise of female degeneracy. In the distant past, women were not behaving like this but nowadays, how they behave, how they act to a certain standard, morals, etc is pretty much normal human behaviour, rightly or wrongly, not a male or female thing. It reminds me of a similiar situation from 2020 when another presenter Nick Ferrari got humiliated metaphorically, figure of speech wise by a female caller in regards to what the female MP did when travelling a total of 800 miles by train, Glasgow to London and back when the whole world experienced CO-VID (pandemic). Not too similar to what Dominic Cummins did while driving to Durham witth other individuals I think.

Another call on a phone in during the pandemic of 2020 and 2021. A lady called in talking about her daughter wanting to go to university. Someone on electronic message mentioned the phrase 'Control the controllables. Furthermore, a later caller, a blind individual nailed it and in his point 'figuring out your new normal' perhaps taking up a new hobby or just keeping yourself occupied.

Another of the many phone ins I have listened to was a female caller who had a horrible experience at a major superrmarket one Christmas during the CO-VID pandemic. She was humiliated by a female who clearly committed a crime according to a later caller called Ranjit. Furthermore, nobody responded to this bad situation be it security guard, staff, the whole pyramid, etc. I think the radio presenter Iain Dale contacted the chain to deal with the matter.
