Not to get in an argument about each and every one, but Superman has always been who he is and not invented or created from any incident. Thor has the same argument but Superman does not need a weapon, he is the weapon.

Peter Parker is an orphan being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Spider-Man's creators gave him super strength and agility, the ability to cling to most surfaces, shoot spider-webs using devices of his own invention which he called "web-shooters", and react to danger quickly with his "spider-sense", enabling him to combat his foes.
